Answer:	Good day, Please take the red flush bulb that is included with the package and screw it into the top of the filter. After that, secure or press the flush bulb to the bottom of a faucet and run medium pressure through the filter for 1-2 minutes. Please note that it is okay if water comes up through the top of the flush bulb during the process. You can increase the pressure or duration depending upon the results. Question:	I noticed an answer about a high ppm reading, with a “minerals added” explanation. How then can your filtered water be tested for contaminants
Answer:	Hi there, that's a good question. There seems to be some confusion about the difference between terms TDS (Total Dissolved Solids, the "parts" in Parts Per Pillion) and contaminants. TDS is too general a measurement to determine the healthfulness of drinking water. A simple home TDS testing kit would show a high ppm reading because it is not able to discern between contaminants (such as arsenic, lead, mercury, etc.) and non-contaminant minerals (such as magnesium and potassium). Our filters maintain/add healthy amounts of minerals to your water, while filtering out non-organic and organic contaminants. All Seychelle filters have been rigorously tested for their contaminant filtration ability by numerous third party laboratories, including the County of Los Angeles Toxicology Laboratory. These laboratories have the equipment to test concentrations of each analyte individually and get a better picture as to what exactly is in the water. Answer:	Filter is an ION exchange and carbon composite; intention is for cold water filtration. I have never used hot water, warm is likely OK. I am not sure if hot would damage the filter to cause slower filtration. 16 ounces should filter in a couple of minutes.

In our tests using our water sample versus our control sample, it reduced the Fluoride 100% and the lead by 79%.However, if your control sample (water before filtering) has an extremely high level of lead or Fluoride, your tests may have different results.

We have lab tested our filters using several water samples. The results show that a very high percentage of, but not all, things are removed. The materials used in our filters have been rigorously tested by authority bodies such as SGS and independent ISO 17025 labs, as well as our own in-house engineer driven lab testing facilities to ensure quality from the start. Answer:	Well water should not be a problem, the filter merely helps to remove impurities that are mixed into the water itself. If your well water has a funny taste i would recommend trying it. We use city water and unfortunately it has a lot of stuff mixed into it including old pipe decay and chemicals that help purify it, and it greatly improves the taste of our water and consistently lasts around 60-70 days for us

Even if you drank alkaline water before, ours can still have a different taste as we are also adding in over 20 trace beneficial minerals. When people first start drinking alkaline water, it can have an "off" taste as their bodies become accustomed to drinking alkaline water and as they detox, which starts in the mouth. You may experience a slightly odd taste in the water and this will slowly disappear over the course of up to two/three weeks. It is all due to the high alkaline levels in the ionized water. Your body is becoming acclimated to an alkaline environment and your body is also detoxing during this break-in period. We recommend that people start out slowly, perhaps drinking a quarter cup to start with and building up over the course of two weeks, or so, acclimating your body to a new alkaline environment. Answer:	well you could filter salt water with it, but it still wouldn't be potable to humans =)

Answer:	You'll have to go on the data sheet from the manufacturer on the filter fiber diameter since no consumer can reasonably measure the filter tube diameters. And you'll have to do research on bad virus sizes to determine if those viruses will be blocked. But I'll say as a consumer of this filter over twelve days on the trail, serving 4 people (48 people-days) on the AT, no gastro-issues. And the filtering flow rate is amazingly fast.

Answer:	Everything that you see illustrated. There are two reservoirs, the filter and the hose. The only thing not included is the optional carbon filter which isn't neccessary. If you do opt to purchase the carbon filter, keep in mind that it slows down the filtration time drastically.

Question:	I have a filter in my refrigerator, can I put this in line before the one that is already in my refrigerator and still get the ph benefit
Answer:	Hello, yes you can still use your existing refrigerator filter with APEC's pH filter, as the refrigerator only removes chemical compounds, not calcium which is what is added by the APEC filter. Question:	Does this cartridge make the water white? i have 5.0ph ro water will this cartridge raise it to 7.0ph
Answer:	No it will not make ur water white or milky although u should run some water through it before drinking. Mine raised from 5.2ph to 6.8ph.
