Answer:	You have to remove the stone from the case first, and place the stone in the water to boil. Use a knife to separate the case!

Question:	Does anyone know the shelf-life of unopened (not yet used) propur proOne G 2.0 filters
Answer:	Yes. You would need to use both filters due to the fact that with the Pro Pur systems an extra plug is not provided unless you get the Traveler which only has one hole - the Big is the next system up has 3 holes, and it would not work. Although, you could use only one filter if you had that extra plug. Your flow rate would be slow but it could work.
Question:	Anybody know the shelf life on these filters for storage purposes? Thanks in advance
Answer:	When I initally bought my "big" setup, I read that you should replace them once a year or max 1000 gallons. I replaced mine at the one year mark. If I were you though, I would order directly from propur. The customer service beats the other retailers. And by the way, im skeptical that these filters actually filter out flouride. Do your research

Answer:	I no longer have whisker city, I have a fresh flow II, but these look like the ones I use to use. I know these work in my fresh flow, and it is almost the same size

Answer:	Yes, but only algae that passes in front of the light (micro algae). It will not kill algae in an attached tank or tubing.
Question:	What are the threads on each connection
Answer:	It is undetermined. The filters that come with the system have a ceramic exterior, and inside the filters you have activated carbon beads. The housing of the system is totally stainless steel with a few plastic pieces. The shelf life of all the materials would be well in excess of over 100 years. With that in mind, it is undetermined how long the shelf life could be.
Question:	Will it kill algae
Answer:	for storage they should be just fine for as long as you want. there is nothing in them to "go bad."
