You can get a really good deal on individual tablets and the packets of shock at Home Depot and at Super Wal-mart's. I have found that if you purchase the chlorine in the buckets you will save more than if you purchase individual tablets. You should also have a screen and a vacuum. Answer:	Looks like the little piece is plastic on mine (on the side inside the filter housing), but I also scraped at it and it freed up a little rectangular plastic piece that popped part way out, like a tray. Put the filter back in and now the light is correctly flashing green. Was about to call Pur.

Question:	Is the color the only difference between this and the FM
Answer:	Looks to me as though the FM-15 is WHITE, and the FM-25 is a chrome color to match the faucet, which I prefer. Works great, by the way. Water is clear and has good taste!
Question:	Is this plastic with a chrome coating? My white FM-15 has started to crack at the top (water pressure is too high
Answer:	Yes it is. It seems to be the FM-15 with chrome coating. I was sent an FM-15 in an FM-25 box a while ago (great quality control) so as I needed to use it straight away I got used to the white fixture on the chrome. I now use the FM-15 as it's cheaper.
Question:	Is there any kind of indicator on this device
Answer:	I assume that the questioner wants to know if there is something that indicates when the filter needs to be changed. You should keep a spare filter cartridge on hand. Change it out when the water flow slows down. New, the flow will be about 1 oz. per second. An 8 oz. glass will be filled in 7 or 8 seconds. Over time, depending on the amount that you use the filter, the flow will slow to where it takes 10 or 12 seconds to filter 8 oz., it's time to replace the filter cartridge.
Question:	What is the difference other than the color and the filter number between the FM15 and the FM
Answer:	The only difference is the color. I have a silver faucet mount and i use the white filters. Why, because they are cheaper and you can't even see it underneath.
