I did note in the installation instructions that it is important for the threaded shank that goes through the hole in the sink or countertop to not be touching any metal (other than the clip from the solenoid).

Question:	How does the Venetian Bronze finish wear with time
Answer:	Yes but it is easier to put the bulbs in with the glass cover not screwed in. Put the bulb through the glass (in the correct position big end out and small end close to fixture). It helps to put fixture on a table. Insert prongs into female part of connection then twist. Next screw the glass into the fixture. Big fingers should be able to do this but it is a little difficult. If the glass is screwed in first you can not see if the bulb is inserted correct.
