Ceramic Cartridges

Due to its nature, ceramic carbide does not wear out due to friction, however special care should be taken in flushing all the lines prior to installing your faucet since any debris in the line may crack one or both of the ceramic discs.

Washerless Cartridges

The washerless cartridge consists of a neoprene donut-shaped stopper that which seals the flow of water by maintaining constant pressure against a steel plate with the aid of a spring. The plate has a crescent-shape opening, so as the cartridge turns, the opening is aligned with the opening of the neoprene seal, allowing water flow.

As the faucet is turned off, the opening of the seal is blocked by the solid portion of the stainless steel plate, blocking water flow.

Answer:	Hello!Both can use if the hose with 1/2 in thread connector.
Question:	Can you vary the water pressure via the button on the sprayer, or is it just on (at full pressure) and off
Answer:	It doesn't. It only has one intake, so you have to hook it to the cold water. I hook it up the the current intake (cold water). I figure its not worth buying one with two intakes and running a hot water supply to. As well as the hassle of figuring you where to get the hot water from, the water flow is so small, you will be done with it before the water gets hot. As an aside, that also means you are running the water in the pipes and get several seconds of room temp water.

Answer:	It is just on and off. It is not a hard spray either. I think it was designed as a bidet sprayer first with the diaper washer as another use. We have yet to use it since our baby is due in April but my husband thinks it should be adequate.

Ceramic Cartridges

The ceramic disc cartridge is a self-contained system consisting of two ceramic discs with quarter-circle openings rotating one on top of the other and controls water flow by (a) lining up or (b) covering the openings.

Due to its nature, ceramic carbide does not wear out due to friction, however special care should be taken in flushing all the lines prior to installing your faucet since any debris in the line may crack one or both of the ceramic discs.

Washerless Cartridges

The washerless cartridge consists of a neoprene donut-shaped stopper that which seals the flow of water by maintaining constant pressure against a steel plate with the aid of a spring. The plate has a crescent-shape opening, so as the cartridge turns, the opening is aligned with the opening of the neoprene seal, allowing water flow.

As the faucet is turned off, the opening of the seal is blocked by the solid portion of the stainless steel plate, blocking water flow.

Stainless Steel Ball Valves

The Kingston stainless steel ball valve is described as a spherical-shaped device that features small round slots with a small control lever. When the lever is moved, the object's movement controls the flow and the temperature of the water. The use of the handle allows the ball to rotate inside the faucet. The valve is made from 304-grade stainless steel material, known to be tarnish and corrosion-resistant providing years of exceptional use.

Compression Cartridges

Compression type cartridges was the original system used in production faucets, a shaft with a washer at its end is rotated in a corkscrew fashion until the rubber washer compresses against an opening preventing the flow of water. These cartridges are not as common now as most faucets are replaced by washerless or ceramic cartridge faucets.

Answer:	Oscar, the hot, cold and mixing are included. I'm not sure what you mean by roug valve but I would look for a more recent model as this one is made from copper and not from steel braided lines. Hope that helps
Question:	Can they stick firmly? Keep level to the toilet seat? I did bought some of other brands last time and it fall off just a few days later
Answer:	My 1980's bidet had the old school vacuum breaker and a whole maze of brass plumbing off the back of it. I stripped it all off and replaced it with this unit and it works fine. The shower feature works, the mixing valve/diverter works to change the flow to the rim and there are no problems. Save yourself some hassle though, toss or recycle the 3" 1/4 inch copper tubes that they include to connect the the valves to the mixing valve. Keep the compression fittings and use them on a short length of 1/4" outer diameter polyethylene tubing, it is MUCH easier to fit into the small space needed.
