Answer:	yes! ours burst in middle of night while we were sleeping. gushing water all night long. ruined hardwood floors and leaked to basement. $30k of damage. insurance company says the filters are known to do this. ours cracked on the bottom. the company says you need to replace filters regularly so they aren't liable. i say bulls*t. we just assumed if we didn't replace it, that we were drinking unfiltered water. we didn't realize that if you are held hostage to replace regularly otherwise the filter could literally burst open on the bottom and flood your house.

Answer:	I know that if you have hard water, it takes alot of minerals out and also if your water has a chlorine taste, this really makes a differrence in the taste of my water. I wouldn't be without it.

Answer:	This airpot is 6 inches in diameter at the base. It is approximately 5 inches in diameter where the "black" top meets the stainless steel. It is 15.5 inches high. I bought TWO to use for coffee & decaf for meetings... to minimize the hassle of having to brew early mornings before meetings, I wanted to be able to make coffee at 11PM the night before to be used by noon the next day! I prime both pots with 20 cups (2 10-cup hot water runs of a Capresso coffee maker) of steaming hot water & let them sit for 90-120 minutes. Then I begin to brew the coffee... when the first 10 cups is brewed, I dump the water, pour in coffee, close pot, make second 10-cup pot, add to airpot, then make third 4-5 cup pot to top off airpot. The coffee is still steaming at 12-14 hour point... and if you drink coffee black, it is "drinkable" warm at 24 hours (steaming with 30-45 seconds in microwave). In fact, it will be slightly warm even at 36 hours... unless it has been kept in a cold environment that robs heat from the pot. I plan to start using an insulated grocery bag (that is supposed to keep food cold for up to 3 hours) as a "sleeve" over the pots overnight so they will cool down less between brewing and use the next morning.

Question:	Does this feel uncomfortable on the face , the hb model feels to strong with restrictor removed and weak with it in
Answer:	Absolutely. This is the best shower head I have been able to find that offers easily adjustable pressure. I took out the flow restrictor inside of the shower head before I installed which allowed for super strong pressure when needed and light pressure at the twist of the lever on the side. Honestly - this is the best shower head I have ever owned. Everyone that has used it at my house seems to agree as well.
Question:	what is the size of the connection, and is the thread on the connection fine? I need 3/4", fine thread
Answer:	The two aren't identical, the 2251 had 8 nozzles while the 2252 has 6. You pay more for the 8 but from reviews I've read suggest 6 nozzles deliver a heavier, stronger overall flow. I have the 2252 and it's a delight!!! I'm guessing neither will disappoint you.

Answer:	This is a high pressure showerhead only if 80 Pounds per Square Inch is supplied through the water pipe to your house. If 35 Pounds per Square Inch pressure is supplied through the water pipe to your house this and every other showerhead will be a low pressure showerhead. Thanks to the State of California the standardized showerhead test conditions for Gallons Per Minute is 80 PSI. If you have 35 PSI pressure supplied to your home The real flow rate out of your standardized tested 2.5GPM showerhead will be closer to 1.25 gallons measured into a 5 gallon bucket in one minute. Now again, thanks to the State of California the 2.0 GPM and 2.5 GPM showerheads will no longer be sold. Good luck rinsing the soap off your back side.

Answer:	My husband is 6'10" and 280 lbs, it is wide enough to cover him. When you move, you will take this shower head to your next place.
Question:	How do you make it work in different settings? I don't see a knob
Answer:	Yes it does. I recommend you remove it, But you do not want to remove the rubber O Ring since that negates the need for your using plumbers tape. Take the O Ring out and with an awl then pry off the white plastic piece which is the water restrictor. Put the O Ring back in and you're done.
Question:	What end of the hose hooks up to the shower head. The open end with a black gasket? Or the end with the white plastic piece and gasket? Please help
Answer:	I want to note that I have both the 2252 (6 sprays) and 2251 (8) shower heads on two different showers. The 2252 has stronger pressure.

Question:	Does the spray pattern meet in the centre like the hb 2005 hotel model or is there no spray in the centre like most showerheads
Answer:	The better question is "Which is better for a shower head? Metal or plastic?" Remember, you're not using this thing to pound nails, you're running water through it. As for the plating processes: Plastic can not be chrome plated without first being dipped in copper sulfate. When you have so many "metals" in a water media, there is a tendency for the metals to plate to an adjacent surface that is more "negative". Speakman noticed that decades ago, and stopped plating the nozzles. Because they work better un-plated. If you notice, most are solid black plastic, while the larger ones are solid brass. Plastic, in this application, may in fact perform better!
Question:	Can this be mounted on the ceiling? I have a rain shower head that needs replacement. Thanks
Answer:	I have the s-2005-hb, and I can only speak to the one I have. In looking them up online though, it looks as though the main difference is that the hb has a sort of lip around the shower head, whereas the h is a sleeker, unlipped model. I really do love the one I have, but I doubt you could go wrong with either model!
Question:	How is the pressure when shared with body sprays? (please say whether you have 2.0 or 2.5gpm model thanks
Answer:	The head does swivel a small amount. Due to the size of the head. I have it in a single inclosed shower and was able to get it pointed down enough for most. If you are 5 feet or shorter it might be spraying in your face in a small shower.
Question:	What does the flow restrictor look like and how can you remove it
Answer:	Proceed as previous posts detail, i.e remove screen and set aside, but instead of grinding away at the entire plastic flow reducer with a 1/4" bit I used a 3/16" bit and punched through the flow reducer diaphragm. There's much less debris. less chance of damaging the unit, and the flow and pressure are more than adequate.

Answer:	No. Not at all. Anyone can adjust how strong or weak you want the flow rate by adjusting the knob on the right side of the shower head!!!

Answer:	Yes, there is a ball joint at the connection. However, the angles are not severe... 20 to 30 degrees perhaps.

Answer:	Other than price, I think the difference visually is the flared head design. I have the H and no flare but great pressure. I cannot speak to the HB's performance. Try googling Speakman's customer service and call them to get all the skinny.

Question:	How would I remove the flow reducer
Answer:	I have 4 of them and no issues at all.
Question:	What is the handle on the side for? Can it be used to shut water supply to the shower head off to divert water
Answer:	I don't think there is any specific setting or button to turn it on and off but I guess you could have it between two settings (midway through the rotation between the first and 2nd settings) and that would hold back the water.
Question:	Does this come with the shower arm and flange
Answer:	The outside rim rotates. I love mine.
Question:	I purchased the S-2254 Anystream and unfortunately the head doesn't swivel. Is it meant to? I'm deciding whether to exchange or get different model
Answer:	The black gasket is the softer of the two, I attached that end to the pipe. Make sure you use plumbers tape on both ends.

Answer:	This showerhead has 5 functions so it depends which one you are using.
Question:	Speakman s-2253-e15 classic is it metal or plastic? is it made in usa
Answer:	If you find the right shower arm you can do it, however, this is not a rain shower head, this a good old speakman shower head with a contemporary design. I am very please with the one I have but the feeling is different a rain shower head which is usually more gentle on the stream if you do not like good water pressure.
Question:	Does removing the flow restrictor have a noticeable increase in water pressure
Answer:	It all depends on your water pressure and the volume of water you plumbing can send through the pipes. The 2.0 would probably work better with two heads running at once than the 2.5, but again, it depends on your water supply.
Question:	I have this model (it looks identical) from 10 years back... can I expect the quality and performance to be the same, or has something changed
Answer:	Flow restrictors reduce the gallons per minute by restricting flow. Personally not a satisfying shower when the flow is restricted. Like taking a shower in a mist. Buy either a 2.0 or 2.5gpm (gallons per minute) shower head and you won’t have to worry about any flow restrictor. A flow restrictor is usually a plastic insert (like a washer) in the end of the shower head that connects to the water pipe. It reduces the flow by reducing the diameter of the opening that the water flows through. It can usually pulled out manually.

Answer:	The bracket I received for mounting to the main pipe was metal. Quite heavy and very sturdy. The provided instructions recommend you wrench tighten the mounting bracket, further supporting how sturdy it is. DO NOT WRENCH TIGHTEN THE OTHER CONNECTIONS!!. The other connections are indeed plastic, so hand tighten them. Yes, if you over-tighten, the plastic connections will break. That should go without saying. That is true of all plastic connections. Just don't overtighten. It's quite easy - screw them on. Turn on the shower, let it run for a few seconds. Then re-tighten by hand. Couldn't be easier.

Answer:	You have to drill it out. You will void the warranty. My brother drilled his out and screwed up the flow. Leave it alone

Question:	Is the escutcheon and the arm one piece
Answer:	1/2 in. NPT inlet - found in the Specification sheet pdf file that's available just below the Technical Details section on the item listing.
Question:	What is the diameter of the flange/escrutcheon
Answer:	I ordered one of these based on the responses that it is metal. It is indeed true that the inner components, threaded connection, and swivel are brass. The outer housing, adjusting lever, and spray nozzles are all plastic. While the adjusting lever and outer housing are indeed chrome, it's chrome plated plastic.
Question:	Is the arm really 7" long
Answer:	Yes. My dad showed me how to take a drill and remove the flow restrictor (a small plastic piece inside the shower head--a small drill bit will do it) and there is a noticeable increase in the water flow. I have Speakman shower heads in both of my bathrooms, and my parents have them in their 3 showers and we all love them.
Question:	Is the flange made of solid brass
Answer:	I don't know if the design has changed over the past 10 years but I know the current model it's a solid high quality unit.

Question:	Does this have a brass "color" finish or chrome like in the picture
Answer:	I had some noise going on, but fixed it by cleaning the screen inside
Question:	Does this come with teflon tape
Answer:	The threads on the handheld portion can be installed on an existing hose, but may need extra teflon tape to ensure a fit that doesn’t leak. I ended up swapping my existing hose with the one that SME with the shower head, and it works great! But be very careful to NOT over tighten the head to the hose if you end up using the Speakman hose, because the threaded female portion of the hose will crack (made of rigid plastic). If you use your existing hose, should be no problem.
Question:	What made you decide to get the 8 jet instead of the (less expensive) 6 jet? Thanks
Answer:	I installed this shower head for a friend and noticed the loose ball hinge, so I tightened it up tight so it was no longer loose. I have not showered with it so can't comment on it becoming tight when the water is on.
Question:	I'm short and am wondering if the entire head swivels? I'd like to be able to position it so it's pointed downward more. Thank you
Answer:	Yes. This shower head has so many great features along with adjustable angles. Love this shower head!
