Answer:	There is regular screen mesh on the inside. The louvers are very close together. When you place it in your window, put it with the louver side on the outside and the louvers facing down. The screen side should be on the inside. If you place them in your windows this way you won't get any rain coming in. I put them in my windows as soon as the weather starts getting nice and take them out in very late fall. They keep my attic nice and ventilated. Make sure you buy thermal king. They are very well made. Hope this helped.

Answer:	Hi. My original answer above says that the lapel mics I ordered did not work. CORRECTION: The Pyle unit requires a 3.5MM *MONO* input for any type of microphone to work with it. It took me until this week to figure it out. I recently ordered a Sony handheld microphone with with a 3.5mm MONO plug. IT WORKS PERFECTLY! (Pyle, you should really state this in the manual and in the product details.) I've since ordered a lapel mic with the 3.5mm mono plug. You'll know you have the correct one because it will have only one black-colored ring on the plug.Amazon Customer said on September 24, 2016 | Edit ---P.S. 3.5mm mono plugs are getting harder and harder to find, btw...so don't wait to get one!

I mostly drink a dark roast coffee from Costa Rica available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MX567U2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) - not selling, just telling. Any finely ground coffee will work well with this but some seem to take to the super hot water/steam of the brew cycle than others.
