Answer:	it's always unlocked from the inside-It's to prevent entry from like from the inside of your garage to the inside of your house. You walk out you lift the handle up and it locks. Then you out the side door of your garage. This is more of an interior lock-set not made for outdoor Alaskan weather. The desert it would perform good.

Answer:	Interior only! There is no waterproof membrane for the individual buttons, the pot metal would corrode and or freeze in the winter of wet.

Answer:	I haven’t personally tried moving them but I would think you could either use command strips in the first place (so it’ll come off easier) or use the included adhesive and it should still come off. I don’t remember any extra adhesive strips in the packaging, but if you move it the command strips would fit. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I can’t help you. We only use them to restrict the window movement. We don’t have animals or children so safety wasn’t a concern. I will tell you that on properly cleaned glass they will not come off once applied.
