Question:	Will there work on sliding glass doors
Answer:	It all depends on the dimensions. The ridge the door slides against can’t be thicker than 3/4”, and must be at least 1/2” tall. The yellow key handle is so wide, it may be impossible to use unless you saw the ears off the yellow plastic part so it can clear the floor when being turned.

Answer:	Yes. Any window where the lock can be fitted over an edge of the frame above or beside the window.

Answer:	My guess is to protect the ledge from damage. Ours are hard rubber, so not needed.

Question:	Will this lock prevent sliding window or door from being lifted off the track
Answer:	Depends on how your window is installed. To prevent the lifting, there are spacers located in the upper horizontal track that are positioned so that there is only about 1/8" gap between screw and window (when window is in the closed position). In order to remove the window, it must be sliced to the full open position where there is no spacer (or screw) in the track. I still like a dowel in the lower track in addition to the lock which I too use. Get a longer "L" shaped allen/hex wrench for increased leverage. I really prefer drilling and tapping a 1/4-20 thread directly in the frame and use a 1/2" long screw. Neater appearance and serves the same purpose. If someone wants to get in, they will regardless of these things. Might be noisy be they can get in with a window.

Answer:	Think it’s an insert. Don’t know if it’s forvinyl or aluminum windows, worked fine without on aluminum. Does protect them from scratches

Answer:	It is exactly what I use them for. The windows I use them on are double hung windows. They work fantastic! I know it says there for sliding glass windows but, I can easily use them in the double hung windows.

Answer:	No, 3 years old child may not have the strength to unlock it.

Answer:	Are there locks on both sliding panels? Before using the SK110, you should lock the outside panel, then use this to block the inside one.
Question:	If this security bar is in use, how easily is it "unlocked" in case of emergency, e.g., fire? Is it difficult or time-consuming to disengage
Answer:	It would take less than 1 second to disengage this lock, this lock will not slow you down in an emergency. This lock is a great feature to any sliding patio door. We have installed one on our last two homes.
Question:	We have an old sliding glass door which slides open on an outside track. Can this bar work on this type of door
Answer:	I don't believe it would work on a door that slides on an outside track. For the bar to function it needs to be installed on the section that slides. The only way to do that for a door that slides on an outside track would be to install the bar outside. Pretty sure that would defeat the purpose. It works great on the inside mount though and I really like it.
Question:	Does it have a clip to stay up when not in use
Answer:	It doesn't have a clip that holds it up-- but it does stay up. This is not going to be easy to describe, but if you have the bar at 90 degrees from the door frame (perpendicular to the door) when it is in use, as you lift it up to move out of the way-- when it passes about a 45 degree angle, the piece that attaches the bar to the door frame doesn't allow the bar doesn't swing loosely anymore. So when it reaches its upright position in the door frame, it just stays there. (told you it was hard to describe). It stays up perfectly, better than a clip you have to attach it to, and it doesn't fall or move at all. It's a one handed movement to raise or lower the bar and it stays where you leave it.

Question:	is this somthing that can keep my 6yr old from the window all the way or could it be easly removed by him
Answer:	That seems like a loaded question. When I was 4, I figured out how to put a kitchen chair next to the counter. Climb on the counter and hoist myself to the top shelf of the cupboard to retrieve a bottle of Flintstones vitamins. I subsequently ate the whole bottle and had to have my stomach pumped. Kids are smart. Nothing is completely kidproof. Having said that, it depends on the type of window. Does it slide left to right or up and down? Mine slide up and down, and a child would have to be tall enough to reach high enough to unlatch them.
Question:	does this come with 2 pcs in a pack? or this is only fr 1 unit
Answer:	Luckily, I saved a packaged pack for back-up. The USB on it says 0 49793 09809 2, and it is indeed a 2-pc packet (which states "Fits 1" wide rail"). The cam locking mechanism also makes re-placing the lock easy.
Question:	How does it work? Are you going to post any pictures of it in use
Answer:	They work great. Seems like it would be easier to break a window than to try to force a window that is locked with two of these. Simply twist them until they begin to tighten to window frame, then clamp them down. They tighten the rest of the way when you clamp them, a lot like vise grip pliers. I'm adding two photos to help.

Answer:	I haven’t personally tried moving them but I would think you could either use command strips in the first place (so it’ll come off easier) or use the included adhesive and it should still come off. I don’t remember any extra adhesive strips in the packaging, but if you move it the command strips would fit. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I can’t help you. We only use them to restrict the window movement. We don’t have animals or children so safety wasn’t a concern. I will tell you that on properly cleaned glass they will not come off once applied.

Once the lock has been mounted and hand-tightened, finish by tightening thumbscrew with pliers to securely lock windows in closed or ventilating positions. Question:	I have windows that raise up to open, will these work on those as well
Answer:	Yes, just put on the side. Left and right to be safe.
Question:	Whatvsize window frame do these fit? My frame is larger than 1/4 inch
Answer:	these locks work great on the aluminum frame windows they were designed for. They will not work on vinyl framed windows unless you take the rubber out, and then they will mark up the frame
