Question:	What kind of material is the strap? Like a seatbelt in cars
Answer:	It fits in my 2009 Wrangler with the spare tire. The spot on the inside of the rack on the tire side is a little tight, but you can definitely use it and fit a bike on the inside spit, just takes a little maneuvering. We use it on the Jeep with our 5 bikes all the time. The only issue is that you can't open the tailgate more than a few inches, even when the rack is lowered......but otherwise it is fine.

Answer:	We leave the rack raised and lift the bike up, slightly tricky but very doable. Tipping it down saved muscles but seemed more tricky to attach.

Answer:	I was able to put my daughter's 12" bike on this rack. It took a little maneuvering to get it on the second spot from the truck (it was the first one on), but it did fit. I will probably place it on the spot closest to the truck, on the other side of the vertical post. However, just because this one fit, it doesn't mean yours will fit, as there are many different styles of bikes.

This is a common question we receive but the fact of the matter is the DOT doesn't approve any particular company's products over any other company's products. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) as a division of the DOT, works with industry and organizations such as the Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) to develop product Standards that the FMCSA then adopts as part of their regulations. These straps definitely meet or exceed the FMCSA regulations regarding cargo securement rules 393.102 & 393.104, when properly installed and maintained.

Answer:	China. All ratchets and 99% of hardware is imported from China, there are no other options for the ratchet. Sad state but true, nonetheless. There are straps assembled in the US with US webbing, however, at a higher cost and most if not all the polyester fiber for the webbing is imported. Commodity products are a global game, they will seek to find the country able to produce as cheaply as possible while still meeting a standard.
