Answer:	Sorry, but I know almost nothing about the OMPT Jack. I used it in series with my Bose Quietcomfort 20 headphones to adapt to the airline sound system. Since the OMPT and the AHJ jacks have the same L/R connections and don't support the microphone function it may not matter if the ground contacts are in different locations.
