Answer:	To get to the screws that hold the actual lockbox on the fence you have to be able to open the lockbox in the first place. If someone can force the lockbox open they can open the fence door. With a 6 foot fence if anyone wanted to break into my backyard they hop over the fence itself, but I can say I have a higher feeling of safety after installing this. It is one of the best things I did to help secure my backyard. Nothing is 100% but this works as a great deterrent. And it makes it easy to get into the backyard without a physical key.

The lifetime warranty allows you only one replacement, so it really isn't a lifetime warranty at all. If you live near the beach, consider yourself lucky if it works for 2-3 years. That said, it is for outdoor use, just expect to lubricate frequently especially after rain or if you live near saltwater.

Answer:	Kids and pets typically don’t have access to Phillips head screwdrivers. If you need to “defend” against stronger “opponents”, get a different latch.

Answer:	It depends. Since I do not know how plumb your post is or stability of gate material you might be stretching the safe distance to allow latch to properly secure. I installed 2 sets of this hardware for my deck. My gates are metal and stable and posts are plumb and have Trex post covers. At hinge side gate gapped at 1/2" off post and same for latch side. With latching hardware aligned at edge of post I end up with about 5/8" excess latching metal rod past hold down clip. So if your situation is same, latch would catch at 1" but leaves very little leeway for safety if racking or warping occurs gate or post.

Question:	Do i need to have the lock in my presence to setup the first time or can i do that remotely, chicago to san francisco
Answer:	Hello, The lock does not use a wifi signal (one of our favorite advertising points is that the lock functions even without internet). The lock has a data base of codes that work in various circumstances, when you pair your phone to the lock, the bluetooth key is used to encrypt the codes so that only your phone can generate working codes. When you need to generate a code you will use your phone to ask the app which codes work for the time you specify, the app will then provide you with a working code. It's a little hard to imagine but think of it like this: All the codes you will EVER generate have already been generated when you paired your lock to your phone. When you click the button to generate a new code, all you are really doing is asking your app, which code will work for what you need it to do. However, if you wanted to change the code from the one that is generated to a new one of your own custom length and digits, you will need to be within Bluetooth range of about 10 meters.
Question:	About how long do batteries last in this device
Answer:	Hello, as there seems to be confusion on this front I wanted to step in here. So the very first run of these was released a little over 6 months ago. The first batch has a known issue where the seals were not strong enough. Since then the Igloohome Smart Padlock has gone through 2 revisions with more to come. The water resistance issue has been solved in later versions. While of course you cannot submerge the product completely for an extended period, the unit is water resistant and will survive most weather conditions. If you have an older unit we are also able to provide a water proof silicon cover with proof of purchase. Question:	If the lock is in a place that doesn't have wifi, will I still be able to connect to it remotely
Answer:	The app is required to set up the fingerprints (up to 15 sets) of your padlock. After you set up the fingerprints, you can open the lock with your registered fingers without the app. You may use the app to open the lock too.
