Question:	Is there anyway people can fish out mail from the top space? Where I live they take a string with tape and pull mail out of locked boxes
Answer:	For this mailbox, you are not able to see the deposited mail clearly with the door fully open but can at the back end of the mailbox when it's partially open. I can see a possibility of pulling mail through the partially opened door although it would be difficult. Bad folks will always find a way to get to your mail if they really wanted to. If you can, put a security camera and aim it toward your mailbox. Even that cannot guarantee your mail will be 100% safe. But can add another layer of protection or deterrence to mail theft. The video can provide evidence to authorities for prosecution - Mail theft is a U.S. Federal.

Question:	Does it keep mail from getting wet when it rains? I've got wet mail from other locking mailboxes
Answer:	It is designed to keep your mail dry and has passed all USPS standards for this element. In the real world I would angle the mailbox angled slightly forward on the front so water drips off the front instead of dripping in the box. We include a plastic floor liner to keep the mail off the actual metal bottom. This aids in keeping water off the mail if water does get in the bottom of the box...this helps when conditions are sideways blowing rain.
Question:	How do you deal with out going mail
Answer:	If you choose to use your mailbox for outgoing mail there is a spring steel clip inside the top door to hold the mail for the mail person. Pulling up the mail flag indicates to the mail person that you have outgoing mail. But please keep in mind that this flag also indicates to mail thieves you have outgoing mail as well. We recommend not doing this and dropping your outgoing mail in a USPS blue box because there is no way to have secure outgoing mail in an individual locking box that also accepts incoming mail.
Question:	Are all of the keys the same? Could a thief order one and then unlock any other one
Answer:	We have a total of 1,500 unique keys out there for just our mailboxes. 1,000 unique keys are still in production. So the odds of somebody having your key are at least 1/1000. Additionally these are 12 disc wafer locks...good luck picking them...way too much time involved.
Question:	Does it comes with the mounting hardware and post
Answer:	It comes with a drill bit and 1.5" lag bolts to mount the box to wood. It does not come with a post but if you order a Mail Boss post, the post comes with the hardware to mount the Mail Boss mailbox to the post.

Answer:	The opening is too large and not very secure, but I thought it could possibly deter someone from trying to get their hand inside to take mail. There should be something to make the slot smaller.

Answer:	The main door is not locked only the inside one but there is a slot for them to drop mail in but you must unlock second door to get it

Answer:	It's a box with a slot that keeps stuff that's put in it secure. You can label the box incoming or outgoing.

Answer:	All Mail Boss products are Powder Coated with outdoor rated powder coats. Galvanized steel is used as well. So if an area of the powder coat is scratched or rubbed off you will see rainwater cause a white residue to appear. This is the Zinc coming out of the steel before rust starts. You can use a Rust preventative paint to match our boxes for touch up and prevent rusting over time. You can also use a clear wax to help protect the powder coat periodically. This keeps things looking new for a very long time if done regularly just like a car.
Question:	it this waterproof
Answer:	Some conflicting answers from other people here... There is a foam seal around the edge of the top door, which by itself isn't that useful since the delivery person often forgets to close it, but the design of the top door hinge is such that most of the water that collects in it can drain out without being dumped inside. As for the bottom door, the top and side edges of the door frame are beveled to direct water to the bottom, where there are two drain holes to let out any water that does get inside. Because of these details, I would call this box weather-resistant.

Answer:	You should first contact your local post office and tell them what you're trying to accomplish. You can also go to the USPS website and view the specific procedures for having mail picked up. BTW, I have a MailBoss and it's the best mail box I've ever owned. I assume you may be concerned about the security of the outgoing mail? The big problem is that with the MailBoss, outgoing mail is accesable without a key or combination. BUT this is true with virtually ANY mailbox in the world.
Question:	Will the postal carrier put grocery ads and local flyers in the mounted newspaper holder
Answer:	As others have said, there is no newspaper holder. The red flag on the side of the box is to alert the carrier that outgoing mail is in the box, however this is a pretty outmoded (or ironic) feature on a box designed to be foolproof to people who would tamper with (or steal) your mail! Regarding grocery ads, any customer who doesn't want to receive them can read the small print on their address side to find out how to DISCONTINUE them. Make sure your carrier too understands that you no longer want them, because they sometimes just stuff them into all the boxes (since most people don't go to the trouble of unsubscribing).

Answer:	Absolutely! The mail carrier does not need a key and outgoing mail is very easily picked up. This is a really great product -- very sturdy and secure.

Answer:	It’s 1-1/2” x 14-1/4”. But it is recessed in from the front of unit by about 3”. So all parcels need to go in at an angle. Boxes do not go in very easily. Flexible items fit. Unit is very sturdy and has worked well security wise.

Answer:	I have no idea, but I can say that our mailbox is the one on our block that the mail carrier scans every day. He/she is required to scan a barcode on each block to prove service.

Answer:	I just took a measurement. You have 1- 1/8th inches of width. I do believe you could make that opening directly in the middle of the slot to allow a script bottle to fit through. Expanding the opening could be done by opening the large door, using a pair of pliers to "pull down" enough to get the bottle through the slot. FYI - the way the slot is designed, there's no way someone could stick their hand inside to extract content when its locked. There is enough 'bend' in the metal to allow this. Hope this info helps.

Answer:	You seem to be thinking when the Post Person (or a complete stranger) opens the "door," it is open all the way to the bottom. It's not. I'm not sure of the exact measurements; a couple of inches. Post Person has no problem with it, but no one can get their hand in it, thus everything is safe. I absolutely love ours, we have had no mail issues since we got it. It meets all USPS standards; if something doesn't fit, they bring it up to the house.
