What is the width of the back plate

I've had mine installed and use through the Ring app since March 2020 and battery level still showing full. Please check to see the deadbolt itself is not mis-aligned and the deadbolt moves freely to lock/unlock. I have read that any resistance to the operation will greatly reduce battery life. 3-4 weeks is ridiculous and there is obviously a problem with the install or they have a defective lock set. The product description I believe says around 12months and will then warn you when the batteries are getting low. Mine is being used a minimum of (3) times a day since March of '20 and still shows full so, 12 months should be accurate. My lock came with Duracell batteries if I remember correctly. Cheaper batteries will obviously impact life of the device. In this case it pays to use "quality" batteries..

Answer:	This it not a high security lock. It is "better than" kwikset is at tamper resistances. That's not says much, as kwikset locks are some of the easiest locks to defeat. I would recommend pairing with a high security or commercial grade schlage deadbolt and install the proper anchor into the 2x4 framing. (included with deadbolt)

You set the numerical code by inserting "blank" spacers where you don't want to include a number in the code...and easy and foolproof process.
