| Answer: | I've had mine installed and use through the Ring app since March 2020 and battery level still showing full. Please check to see the deadbolt itself is not mis-aligned and the deadbolt moves freely to lock/unlock. I have read that any resistance to the operation will greatly reduce battery life. 3-4 weeks is ridiculous and there is obviously a problem with the install or they have a defective lock set. The product description I believe says around 12months and will then warn you when the batteries are getting low. Mine is being used a minimum of (3) times a day since March of '20 and still shows full so, 12 months should be accurate. My lock came with Duracell batteries if I remember correctly. Cheaper batteries will obviously impact life of the device. In this case it pays to use "quality" batteries.. |
