Answer:	The ladder is in the RV which is in storage so i cannot be sure. But I just looked at a tape measure. From memory that would be the max space. I would say confidentially it could fit over 3/4 of an inch. Sorry I can't be precise.

Answer:	The side vertical bars are both 1” square (1” each on all 4 sides) and height of 39.5” each side. Not absolutely sure if this if what you’re asking, but those are the measurements of each side vertical bar. The top hanging bars are 1” wide and 3” deep per side.
