Question:	how do you lift it to the ceiling do you have a crank system
Answer:	I'm not especially strong but I lifted the rack onto a ladder and balanced it there with the help of another shelf, then I attached 4 rubber (heavy duty) bungee cords to each corner and hooked it to the ceiling mount. After those were all attached I could carefully keep tightening the cords by moving the hook further and further into the middle of the rack, lifting it up incrementally. Eventually you get to a point where you can 'hook' the rack onto the piece that comes down from the ceiling mount, so it's supported before you screw it in.
Question:	Do I have to install the rack perpendicular to the ceiling joists as in the video or can I install the rack parallel to the joists
Answer:	As long as the ceiling mounts are installed in a joist(s), then it will work. I installed my units in the corner of my garage, which required some creative mounting, as the studs where not conveniently lined up for a perfect installation. For one of the brackets, I ended up securing it to the wall rather ceiling as there was no stud along the ceiling next to one of the walls.
Question:	Is the ceiling anchor bracket 16 to 24 inches long so one can span perpendicular over two ceiling joists to properly secure the rack
Answer:	Janet,First off, my ceiling joist run front to back in my garage. My racks are mounted on the back wall with the 48" width going front to back and the 96" length side to side. The predrilled mounting holes are spaced 16" apart along the long side and 24" on the side. Therefore, they are ready as you receive them for for both. The vertical adjustable drop straps are mounted every 48" so it doesn't make any difference which spacing your ceiling joist is since every 48" they match up anyway. If you put the rack in a back corner of a garage you could mount it with the short side on the back wall and the long side along the side wall. In that case you would need to either have 24" spacing in your ceiling joist or buy 3 48" (you can buy them this length at a hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot) pieces of angle iron to span 16" joist then use any of the holes available to get the 24 and 48" spacing at the ceiling. Question:	What is the weight limit
Answer:	The limit is 600lbs, says so in the description and in the manual. I have 2 of these and I have a good 400lbs on 1 and 200 on the other and they have held just fine. If it fell, it wasn't installed correctly.

Question:	What about the clearance needed to get tools out that are stored in the holes? Any issues with ceiling heights when getting tools out
Answer:	Yes, I would recommend having a minimum clearance of your longest tool/rake/etc plus about 10 inches when taking the item out of the rack. I would not recommend it storing large/long tools in an area with a low to normal 7-8ft ceiling (run the risk of hitting the ceiling occasionally). I personally have mine in the basement with a 10ft clearance. It would also work well in some of the pre-fab tool sheds that have a high ceiling. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I would NEVER recommend to store your tools outside- I buy good tools and I expect years of use from them- putting them outside is throwing money away and not taking good care. CAN this be put outside? Sure- just like anything you own can- your couch for example. But SHOULD you? This is not its intended purpose. I'm not sure it's UV rated (and I wouldn't expect it to be). Maybe keep on the edge of the garage and roll it out? You could ALWAYS replace the casters no problem if they crap out-cheaper than the holder and your tools!
Question:	Is is sturdy without tools falling over
Answer:	I have at least 50 tools in this caddy including a sledge hammer with many other various tools that would destroy my car. I park my BMW a foot from the stand every day and I have tested it like an earthquake would and it is perfect! I would never park my bmw near it if I were scared of it falling over. Difficult to believe how sturdy it is sometimes.

Answer:	Correct. If you are going to use the Wall Control hooks and accessories, they go into special vertical slots, so each of the three 32" (tall) by 16" (wide) panels must be installed in the correct orientation. The panels still have the standard pegboard holes as well, which would of course work with standard pegs no matter the panel orientation.On the Wall Control website, they do sell panels in sizes and shapes other than the 32" x 16" sizes that come with most of the kits.

Answer:	You do not need to leave any space. The way the pegboard is designed, it is already offset from the wall with any distance for the hangers to be hung without damaging your wall. This is the easiest pegboard system I have ever used. We got the white one to use in our kitchen for pots and pans a la Julia Child - it works great and looks awesome. All of our friends have admired it.

Answer:	I have 2 different configurations: one is 16 inches wide, and the other one 17.25 inches wide. The 16 inch one has 5 tool slots and 6 hanging hooks; the 17.25 inch one has 5tool slots NO hanging hooks.....
Question:	Would this rack work its mounted to a 2x4 and and does not have a wall for the bottom of the tools to lean against
Answer:	Ive got a swiffer mop with the mop solution hanging on it. A vacuum if its really lightweight might work if its hung very securely with anchors or in a stud in the wall. Most things I have around mine are relatively light weight with the one heavier item.
Question:	What does this storage system kits consist of
Answer:	Yes, it does. I think they changed the design of this holder over the years, because at least two versions are pictured in the product images. One version (older) had two concealed slide-out hooks. If you like that idea, that design may still be sold by V-tech. (It's possible that an even older version had no hooks at all.) The one I bought a month or so ago (note: bought from SH Toys; Amazon was out of stock at the time) has six fold-down plastic hooks (as in the first product image). They're thick and fairly stiff. I ended up not being able to use it and gave it to a friend instead, but I liked the fold-down hooks. They seemed sturdy and well-sized. That said, if you use the hooks, you will probably end up blocking at least one tool. You will need to take things off the hooks to get those tools out. If you're still considering this product, I hope my answer helps.
Question:	Can this be used to hold up bikes by their tire
Answer:	This is held to the wall as other answers have described. I just now installed mine and I have a word of warning. In retrospect (live & learn) I would buy my own anchors for this unit. The anchors supplied do NOT have the collar around the end that stops them from sliding into your wall! You need a 1/4 inch drill to drill a snug hole for the anchors. Tap them in with a hammer till flush and you'd think that they will remain there. They do not. I have basic sheetrock walls on a house built 20 yrs ago, so nothing odd or special. My first anchor slid into the hole and out the other side (into the wall) even though it was very snugly fit. I realized then that the trick would be to screw in the remaining 5 screws very very gently. I screwed them in with almost zero pressure until I could feel that they had gripped the plastic anchor. Now, since you have 6 holes drilled with anchors (I only had 5), you should leave each individual screw loosly engaged until you have gotten all the screws engaged. This way if you're off by a bit on your drilled holes, you can still get all screws to seat. Ok, so I got all screws engaged then proceeded to oh, so gently turn them, in an attempt to get them engaged enough to spread the anchors and then be firmly/tightly in place. No such luck. The remaining 5 screw/anchor combos have somewhat tightened. I would say about 50-75% of what they should be. If I try to wiggle the unit, it does not wiggle, but on one screw, I can twirl my screwdriver between thumb and 1st finger and the entire screw/anchor unit twirls. The others also just twirl although the screws are all the way in touching the plastic of the unit. Now, the mechanism that grips a broom handle is very tight. It is so tight that sometimes I have to push it up with my thumb to get the handle in. That would be fine, since things tend to loosen over time, and I would expect this to become easier as it's used. However, in this instance it's probably a major failing, since the unit is not tightly and firmly held onto the wall. It's snug, yes, but over the next 6 months, I expect this unit to get looser and looser till one day when pushing or pulling a broom it is going to come out completely. Hopefully it won't damage my wall so I can put some 'real' anchors in to hold it better.

Question:	Is it hard to put together or take apart
Answer:	Very easy to do both. All you need to take it apart would be to pull off the shelves one by one. I would suggest upside down after removing the top shelf. Then hit lightly with a hammer or mallet from below each shelf to loosen it from the plastic two parts that hold each side of the shelves. Once they are loose they will come apart. When putting it together, the number one thing is to pay attention to the plastic parts because they all say, this side up. You put the side down, you will never get it together. FYI when you unpack the parts a bunch of round black plastic pieces (that look like junk) will fall of, those are ONLY for protecting the posts when shipping so when putting together make sure they are not inside the posts or you will not be able to put it together. The actual parts come in a large bag full of smaller bags, each one is for putting together one shelf. The instructions mention it, but some people are commenting that they are broken pieces because they can't read. lol I'm 70 and I have put together 9, my most recent today. I'm sure you can also. They are sturdy and my older ones have been in use for a decade.

Answer:	People are saying yes, but it is designed for the shelves to have a "top" and a "bottom" so no, you cannot turn the shelves upside down. The weight of the shelve pushes down on the taper, creating a tighter "bind" with the leg. That's the design.

Answer:	I don't know what diameter the other sizes are, but the 30" three tier shelf is only 3/4" diameter. I went off the previous answer when I bought three of these. Boy was I fooled when I received 3/4" poles. Smh!
