Cycle racks, in the context of Bike Racks Stands, Garage Storage, and Tools Home Improvement, typically refer to structures or devices designed to securely store and organize bicycles. Bike Racks Stands:

- Capacity: Racks come in different sizes and designs to accommodate varying numbers of bicycles.
Garage Storage:
- Space Optimization: Bike racks for garage storage are designed to optimize space and keep bikes organized, preventing clutter.
- Ceiling Racks: Some racks are designed to be mounted on the ceiling, lifting bikes off the floor and making use of overhead space.
Tools Home Improvement:

- DIY Options: Some bike enthusiasts create their own custom bike racks as a DIY home improvement project.
Security Features:

User questions & answers
Question: | What prevents someone from unscrewing the black "nut" on the opposite side of the axle from the locking lever? Then the axle would slide right out |
Answer: | On their website, Zinus says about this (and all their mattress covers): "The cover is not meant to be removed and is not washable. Please follow the care instructions on your mattress label. We recommend using a mattress protector to keep your mattress like new." |
Question: | mmX120 Fat tire bike, does it fit |
Answer: | Memory Foam is definitely different, as an activity surface. Takes some getting used to. Waterbeds are worse, though. You might try using a slightly inflated air mattress, with strong baffles, on top of the bed to give a bit of springiness to you for those "special" times. That's the only thing that comes to mind, that "might" work, short of going back to an inner-spring mattress. You're right, though. It does take some of the fun out of it and I was only using a Two inch thick mattress topper of memory foam. A whole bed made of the stuff, I can't even inagine how it would complicate matters. I have bad knees and find it difficult on memory foam to crawl across the bed. Like you'd have to if you wanted to hang or change a picture above your bed. Hurts like the dickens! But for sleeping it's great stuff!!! |
Question: | What would you attached it with on a Xterra track cargo system |
Answer: | The layers are different. This mattress has1 inch microfiber quilted to soft knitted jacquard cover, 1 inch Viscolatex Responsive Foam, 2 inch memory foam, 3 inch comfort foam, & 5 inch high-density base support foamThe green tea 12" 3 inches Memory Foam, 2 inches Comfort Foam, 3.5 inches Airflow High-density Foam, 3.5 inches Airflow High-density Base Support Foam |
Question: | Will these fits bikes with shocks and bikes with forks? what is the width fo the bracket |
Answer: | I am looking at this years later after I bought it because this bed kills my back. Both my girlfriend and I are laying on this bed right now with backaches looking for another mattress. I started going to a chiropractor because of this bed its so soft I like sink into it. Im only 5'5" and about 155lbs. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can anybody tell me the dimensions of the middle square |
Answer: | If you have a platform bed you bo not need a box spring I did not have a platform bed so I had to get a box spring |
Question: | Is there any flexing with that bottom mounting piece |
Answer: | I sleep on my stomach all the time and I like this mattress. We've had it a year and had no problems whatsoever. |
Question: | Will this rack fit my surly ecr |
Answer: | I have slept on this mattress for 2 years. I weigh 200lbs and my wife weighs 130lbs. So far, we cannot see any indication of indentation. perfectly level across the bed. After reading all the answered questions with reported indentation, now I'm thinking did we get the only good one? In fairness, we did add a 2" memory foam topper to make the bed more plush. under that topper, the mattress is perfect 2yrs later. |
Question: | Will the quick release and brake mount be safe/sturdy on a carbon fiber bike |
Answer: | Yes. I’ve had this mattress for a little over two years and there are distinct indents from where my husband and I both lay. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are the nuts/bolts/ screws included |
Answer: | Nothing. It is somewhat tough to unscrew because your fork and the nut have ridges that catch each other. Look on your fork. But, it is feasible. I use a second lock if I leave the bike on the rack, but I leave it for minutes not hours.. What is stopping the person from just unscrewing the two bolts that hold the rack to your truck bed? Really the only time I lock the latch is with no bike in it so dumb kid doesn't steal the holder latch. |
Question: | what screws does it need |
Answer: | Yes it does |
Question: | How much weight can it hold |
Answer: | Two galvanized plate and bolds will take care of that.. It works for me |
Question: | Will this fit with a fender |
Answer: | I think that will work, I'm using with MTB and Route bike and fit well |
- Rubber bike cradles and EPDM rubber straps hold up to 2 bikes firmly in place;
- Comes fully pre-assembled; Folds flat for easy storage in your trunk or garage
- Max Capacity: 35lbs per bike
- Kids bikes, ladies frame bikes and some mountain bikes may require a top tube adapter to fit on the rack
- Check vehicle Fitguide to ensure the rack will work for your vehicle
User questions & answers
Question: | How many pounds can the rack hold? I have two older steel bikes |
Answer: | I have no idea what you mean by "middle square." The flat area on the top of the rack is about 11" long by 4" wide. That's a rectangle, not a square. |
Question: | Do the carry arms fold down when the rack is mounted on your trunk |
Answer: | There is a littke bit of flex to the bottom mounting braket. I had to draw the two sides together slowly with the screws that are provided the lower bracket is constructed of a thin, flat stock of metal. |
Question: | With the rack installed and zero bikes mounted, can you still open and access the trunk of a sedan (Yes/No |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Where can I view a fit guide |
Answer: | I used it for a couple of bike tours through Yellowstone on my Carbon fiber bike with no issues.. Though I would suggest getting a seat post mount instead of using the brake lug https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B6M16U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.... My dropouts have a bit of a "shelf" around them but a couple of washers JB welded onto the rank tangs took care of that. Honestly it is a great rack but with anything like this some modifications may need to be made to fit to your application :) |

User questions & answers
Question: | So this is a weird question, but I'd like to take my bicycle with me on my commute. Can I lock my bicycle to the bike rack using a typical bike lock |
Answer: | Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable. |
Question: | I have 2000$ bike, is it worth the risk |
Answer: | It was fine for my $1,500 RadRover. It's good up to 70 pounds. What does your bike weigh? |
Question: | How well does this work on a 2010 honda crv |
Answer: | allensportsusa.com/fit-listgo to the allen sports fit list and check to see what is recommended for 2010 honda crv. If it is on the list and instructions are followed when installing, there shouldn't be any problems. |
Question: | Hi guys is it good for volvo suv xc90? does it easy for woman to put the bikes up herself |
Answer: | This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is the difference between the Rugged and Standard version of this bike rack |
Answer: | This bike stand does not need to be attached to the wall. It just needs to be centered on its base with the bike or bikes properly loaded. I cannot see the picture of your husband's electric bike, but as long as you do not load a bike or multiple bikes that, together, exceed 100 pounds, it should work fine. |
Question: | Can I buy hooks or install accesories to hold my helmets on the side? It would be a nice addition to keep a lot of my stuff in one place |
Answer: | The arms are fairly snug. there isn't a lot of play in them. The top and bottom pieces do have some (very little) play but this can be dealt with by securing it to the wall where it will be. I had two bikes (a townie and schwinn) that both had some weight to them unsecured in the garage and never had an issue, but if movement is a concern securing it to the wall will solve that issue. |
Question: | Does this work well on a carpeted floor |
Answer: | Here is the link to the Owners manual with instructions on how to adjust the arms to mount different types of bikes. http://dtxinternational.com/images/manuals/RAD/1107_Gravity_Bike_Stand_Manual.pdf |
Question: | How tall is this product? The product info listed cant be correct. Thanks |
Answer: | I think it is either a paint or a very thin vinyl coat. I did spray the inside of the hooks with black Plastidip to protect the finish on my bikes. They sell the Plastidip spray cans for around $3-4 at most stores that sell spray paint. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Rad Cycle Mighty Rack Two Bike Floor Stand - what are the dimensions and weight please |
Answer: | I measure 23" high x 24" wide x 21 inches deep. I can't really measure the weight. It pretty much stays put but it's not difficult to move. |
Question: | can I use this in my suv trunk to keep the bikes uprights without falling during driving |
Answer: | Definitely NOT. I transport 5 large cruiser style bicycles at a time inside my extended length minivan. 5 bikes fit inside, by alternating the handlebars forward-backwards-forward-backwards-forwards. This is only safe because the bikes are all tangled up with each other. Unless your rack INSIDE your vehicle has a secure locking clamp system (to keep the bikes from rolling back and forth when you hit the gas and brakes, or from falling over whenever you drive around a curve)...just like a good bike rack on the OUTSIDE of your vehicle should have, and unless the bike racks are bolted down to the floor of the vehicle, then you might as well forget trying to use any bike "stand" as a bike "rack" inside a moving vehicle. |
Question: | can this stand be used outside |
Answer: | I use mine on my travel trailer. It has been outside for a year. There are the startings of rust at some of the bolt connections. I suspect that after a few years in the FL weather I will be buying a new rack...which I am good with. |
Question: | Will this fit my 29 inch mtn bike with disc brakes and 2 1/4 in. thick tires |
Answer: | Not sure, I ride a canondale and my husband has a Trek hybrid. Ours fit facing opposite directions. The rack space is 2 3/4 inches for the tires. I do not know how the disc brakes would impact the fit. This rack is not the highest quality but was better then leaning our bikes against a wall. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How far does the stand come from the wall |
Answer: | Not far. The top bar has a flat hunk of plastic (an inch or so thick) that must make direct contact with the wall. The legs curve forward a bit, and they probably sit about a foot from the wall, I reckon. |
Question: | Will this work on carpet as well |
Answer: | I have mine on carpet and it works great. |
Question: | We have a shed with an inside side height of 72". Any way this will fit |
Answer: | Cut a hole in the roof of your shed. |
Question: | Will this work with two bikes with women's frames? The photo shows men's frames - which have the straight bar across instead of the angle |
Answer: | Might help to get a horizontal adapter bar for women’s frames. They are used for trailer hitch bike racks. Typically run about $10-$20. |
