Question:	Will e26 bulb socket fit
Answer:	I haven't tried it with a dimmer, but it is an incandescent bulb which leads me to believe that it should work. I've personally never seen an incandescent that would not work with a dimmer. The Teflon coating on the blub makes it weatherproof. I have them on the back deck and beneath the carport and they are nice bright bulbs. Because we have no streetlights where I am I leave them on 24/7 and they will last for months, often around a year outside. I put CFLs outside once and they grew vey dim and yellowish. Eventually the CFLs melted. Apparent those particular ones weren't glass.

Question:	can you use led light bulbs in this
Answer:	5/8 inch for the sensor. Body is to be mounted with 7/8 inch nut (provided with the unit). The unit fits through a standard 3/4 inch electrical knock-out.

Answer:	The application is for an outdoor lamp pole so water resistance is in the design. There is a grommet around the sensor and a locking plastic nut-fastener that holds the unit in place and moisture out of the pole. Most of the unit is inside the pole under the lamp fixture so the water issue is minimal. The photocell itself on the protruding stem is designed for outdoor lighting applications and is the only part that is exposed to the elements (water). The rest of the unit is designed to be inside the pole as are all the wire connections. I installed this unit about 3 months ago and there have been no problems.
Question:	what material s the lamp body and wire guard made from
Answer:	The answer is hidden in one of the wrong comments: The correct answer is that if the light from the bulb is sufficient to bring the photocell above it's trigger point then you get the light cycling on and off. However, it has nothing to do with heat. Normally, as long as the photocell is not pointing directly at one of the lights and it's far enough away, it probably won't make a difference.

Answer:	If you mean, handle the amps, I would say yes. LED lights actually use lower amps then halogens and cfls. The VA rating for this switch is 850, which (at 120v) effectively means it can handle around 7 amps (850/120). The description also states "Works with incandescent, fluorescent, LED, halogen, mercury vapor or high pressure sodium bulbs"

By experimenting, and also reading the manual, I found out that the heater doesn't have a thermostat that turns the heater off after reaching a set temperature. It can run from 25 C to 32C (77 F to 89 F) in adjustable steps. The heater also has a run timer of 2, 4, 6 hours or continuous. The heat can be turned off and run it like a fan. What I liked about it is the remote control, unusual for such a small heater.

Answer:	May be the depth of the bulb socket. Normal style floodlights should fit fine. I use LED floods in mine and the bulbs fit. I won’t buy these fixtures again as the quality is absolutely terrible. If you have issues, my advice is go o your local hardware store- you may pay a little more, but the quality may be better.

Answer:	Have you noticed that this unit does not work if the outside temperature--at dusk--is below 40 degrees F? I used the one shown at left and had that experience. Changed the bulb (at large expense) without the desired result. Bought the so-called "outdoor" version, same result. Works fine above 40 degrees F.

Answer:	A fluorescent light may blink or the illumination appear to travels up the bulb. An incandescent (filament) bulb should light steadily. A LED light may behave like a incandescent bulb. OR you have a defective Woods device. Try different types of bulbs in it and determine if any of them give a steady light. I believe that the Woods device does not product a full, AC, 115 volt, rms waveform. The fluorescent bulb does have a steady glow of the gas that stimulates the phosphors that coat the inside of the fluorescent bulb. The phosphors glow is unsteady as a result. John Horner
