They have three versions of this switch and the table lists a different set of max voltage and max amperage (might be different for AC and DC) for each model: 12V = 2A AC or DC for model 70332 (this switch - Open Circuit when the ball is depressed, Closed Circuit when it is extended); 24V = 2A AC or 1A DC for model 70334 (Closed Circuit when the ball is depressed, Open Circuit when it is extended); 48V = 1A AC or 0.5A DC for model 70336 (Momentary Closed Contact as the ball passes between depressed/extended). And yet, the wording on the overview page and the individual product pages states a max of 48V AC for all of the switches. Confusing. I cannot guarantee it, but I suspect that the AC/DC voltage/amperage combinations apply to all of the switches and they just saved space by displaying the three combos in the same table as the three models. It makes since that the contacts can handle a certain amount of power which means that the max amperage drops off as the voltage goes up. You can click on the individual model numbers to see pages for each. The table does not specify 12V max, nor does it list amperage for 24V or 48V. Sheesh! |
