Answer:	"Gang" refers to how many devices a plate covers. This plate would cover one device (a switch in this case) so it is 1-gang. Two switches side-by-side, or a switch and a receptacle side-by-side would need a 2-gang cover and the same progression for larger quantities of devices.

Question:	Seriously ... almost $4 for one when you can buy a pack of 10 for under $10 which are polycarbonate? Is the material that much different
Answer:	No the difference is the delivery expense. It is impossible to send one of these plates for less than $3.00. The single items are intended to be a convenience for someone who doesn't want to take the time to drive to a store. If you purchase 10 of them the shipping is only about $1.00 more than for a single so the cost per piece comes down then. If you are looking for multiples you would be better off to purchase a bulk pack.

Answer:	They are very nice, metal covers. They look like brushed nickel fixtures. Quite heavy and classy.

Answer:	Yes!! I bought some of each type. HOWEVER: beware if you install a rheostat: the screws with these plate covers are TOO LONG and will blow out the rheostat. Cost me an additional $160 for the electrician to replace the swich.
