Answer:	I've had two of these for over 10 years, and one just began to act up, with an outlet no longer working at all. As others have said, the yellow outlets are for daytime settings, and function together as a unit; and the blue outlets are for nighttime settings, and function as a unit. Therefore, times are set for both yellow and both blue, and not individually. The white outlets are for "always on" devices; such as an under tank heater. It is a bit tricky to learn to set up, but once done, it works flawlessly and only needs adjusting for daylight savings time, if desired. I've never had mine blow a breaker, but if you have older wiring or your outlets, wiring and breakers are damaged, or not properly up to current code then it could blow a breaker. Also, it is as vulnerable to power surges as any other electronic device, and can be damaged by frequent blown-out. But that's true for any power strip without surge protection. And even surge protectors have to be replaced if hit with a string enough surge. It always best to unplug this device during a power outage, and consider a surge protector and battery backup if you experience frequent brown outs in your area. Moreover, I agree with Abe, these negative reviews make no sense.

Answer:	Do you mean you set it once for that and it does it everyday? The answer is yes. Do you mean can you just set it for one day? You would have to change the setting after that one day because once you put in a setting (and whatever is plugged into that side) it keeps doing those times everyday. It's very easy to set!
Question:	Can you safely use an additional extension cord with this surge protector
Answer:	While you CAN daisy-chain extension cords, it's not a good idea. the longer the cord is, the more resistance there is. This creates heat in the wires, and power loss over distance. As resistance goes up, heat goes up, and power drain grows larger. Eventually you end up with a fire hazard, not to mention excess cost for energy used, as well as power loss at the terminus. Having said all that, it really depends on the length of the cords and the amount of power draw you're using. If you're using just a few outlets on one strip and attach another fairly short (like less than 8', for example) extension cord for greater reach, you should be fine.

Answer:	They mean do not put it directly on your skin. This is just a necessary statement of precaution as it does get very hot. Its so soft that you will want to lay on it or use against skin. I have done so without any problems. Just be cautious and don't burn yourself. Its a wonderful heating pad.

Answer:	I just read the entire manual. It never mentions anything whatsoever about moisture being added to it for moist heating. It does however clearly state to make sure it is completely dry before use. The box it came in does NOT mention anything about moist or dry use. Basically it’s misinformation if anyone recommends moisture while using.

How It Works

1. Pull up all pins on the dial.

2. Select a period (or periods) you want the device turned on, then push down ALL the pins that fall on or within that period.

3. Rotate the timer’s dial clockwise until the pointer on the face of the dial points to the current time of the day.

4. Set the override switch to TIMER ON position.

5. Plug the timer into an outlet.

6. Make sure your device is on and working.

7. Plug your device into the timer.

Answer:	Plug the timer into the top one, it is fine, you can still use the lower outlet.
Question:	how many watts of power does the unit itself used (when output is off
Answer:	I think the 1875 watts is how many watts it can support. We used it for a space heater, which was around 1500 watts, so it should work for almost any device, but it wouldn't support two space heaters, for example.
Question:	How can I use this to turn my tv off all night? Our tv has a glitch where it’ll suddenly turn on. I find myself up at 2 or 3am turning it off
Answer:	You can set this timer to only provide power during your daylight hours (say, 6am-10pm). The timer will therefore not provide power at night, keeping your tv off.

Answer:	It’s not silent; the mechanism makes a little sound — not a clock-like ticking — every few seconds as the clock slowly advances. I use mine primarily to switch lights in my home office when I am in another part of the house or away from home. So noise is not a problem. When I’m in my office and it’s running, I have never found it distracting. Of course, another person may not agree.

Answer:	1. Make the red switch to Timer position. 2. Set the current time, make the arrow pinots to current time. 3. Push pins down that need to turn on. For example, 5pm to 7pm for On, so push pins down between 5pm to 7pm. Other pins keep up.
