Transformers and voice coils rely on AC current, which is what introduces inductive capacitance and reactance in a coil, also known as impedance. To keep it simple, these meters will give you an inaccurate reading for impedance values. Find a meter used for audio electronics to test these values.

Tips:

1. The automatic range digital multimeter has a large internal resistance (high input impedance), and there is induced voltage interference when open circuit. The AC DC gear will have a digital jump when it is turned on, but it will not affect the measurement.

2. When turning on the meter and move the dial to ohms, it reads of OL (default), it's normal. In this case, it means that Infinity of resistance.

Function indication

1. Insert the black probe into the COM Socked . When the measured current is ≤ 200mA, insert the red probe into the VΩMa Jack. If the measured current is between 200mA and 10a, probe into the 10A Jack.

2. Set the function range switch to the range A ═ position,connect the two probes in series to the current circuit to be measured, connect the red probe with the positive input current, and connect the black probe with the negative electrode

(Note: the reverse connection screen of the probe will display "-")

DC voltage measurement

1. Insert the red probe into the VΩmA Jack and the blackprobe into the COM Socked

2. Set the function range switch to the V ═ range position,connect the two probes in parallel to the circuit to be tested,connect the red probe to the positive pole, and connect the black probe to the negative pole, and read the data directly from the screen

AC voltage measurement

1. Insert the red probe into the VΩmA Jack and the black probe into the COM Socked

2. Set the function range switch to the V~ range position,and connect the two probes in parallel to the circuit to be tested.
