User questions & answers
Question: | Will these fit a Fluke 77/BN |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Will these leads fit the Fluke |
Answer: | It comes with test leads but doesn't come with magnetic strip holder. |
Question: | Is this a genuine Fluke product |
Answer: | The one I received appears to have been made for the China market. The box states "Not for sale outside of China, warranty void if sold outside of China". However, everything of importance on the device itself is printed in English, so other than the cardboard box, I expect the only difference is Warranty. The unit is quite robust and I don't expect any problems with it. If it did come to a warranty situation, I expect the cost of shipping and the time involved would outweigh the appeal of a Fluke warranty repair, but of course you'll have to judge that for yourself. That said, I'd be keen to know if you find a USA/Europe one for a similar price. I could probably use a third DMM :) |
Question: | Will these leads fit a Fluke Mdl |
Answer: | Yes, and rather accurately. But isn't it time we get on board with the metric system? |
- Basic dc accuracy 0.5%
- CAT III 600 V safety rated
- Diode and continuity test with buzzer, Rugged, durable design.
- Small lightweight design for one-handed use
- Automatic shutdown, Battery is easy to replace
User questions & answers
Question: | Forgive my ignorance, can I use this to measure the impedance of a guitar cabinet by contacting the test leads to the input jack |
Answer: | Good question! No you cannot. These meters use DC current to test resistance. Transformers and voice coils rely on AC current, which is what introduces inductive capacitance and reactance in a coil, also known as impedance. To keep it simple, these meters will give you an inaccurate reading for impedance values. Find a meter used for audio electronics to test these values. |
Question: | What batteries does this take |
Answer: | 2 batteries AAA |
Question: | what is the listed NSN on the back |
Answer: | there is no NSN for this model, it is a model designed for china but has been put on the "grey market". no formal support in the USA |
Question: | Doe this come with test leads? Odd that they aren't shown or mentioned, but Amazon implies you ought to buy a set with this |
Answer: | Its says they come with leads right on the box, my original purchase didnt so I returned it for credit and repurchased the item, the second one came with leads |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this be good for automotive work |
Answer: | Quite good. |
Question: | Is it made in the USA |
Answer: | No teerhe 100 series is designed in USA built in China. (To fluke specs) still high quality if you want a USA built model check out the 87-5 or 279 you pay for it though mine with nist cert was 600 bucks |
Question: | Is that cables included if I buy in this Fluke 115 true RMS multimeter |
Answer: | Fluke TL75 test leads are included. |
Question: | Would anyone recommend this for Computer repairs and checking wires in a Computer? (Future PC Technician starting out and shopping for tools |
Answer: | This multimeter is not good for computer repair. While it is accurate it doesn't have milli or microamps, which is very necessary for troubleshooting computers. You would need something like the Fluke 177 (a little more than 100 dollars more) and has microamps, or you could get something like a B&K Precision 2708B, which has milli and microamps. Also the B&K Precision is less than 100 dollars, so I would say for a budget meter it's the best considering its ability. I've watched reviews on dozens of multimeters, and the B&K Precision 2708B is pretty quick and quite accurate, especially at its price point. |

Question: | Where is this meter made |
Answer: | My box with 2010 manufacture date says "Made in U.S.A. of U.S. and non U.S. parts." |
Question: | Do they make a Hard Case for the Fluke 28 ii ? if so, where can it be purchased |
Answer: | Hi, I am sorry I made a wrong part. It is Fluke 27 II Rugged, not Fluke 28 II Rugged Sorry for inconvenience! |
Question: | Does this come with test leads and if so what model number are they, thank you |
Answer: | Yes, they come with one set of red and black CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V 10A test leads. They also say CAT II 1000V on them, which conflicts with the description of the Fluke Corporation TL75 Hard Point Test Lead Set, but I'm guessing this is what they are--at least that's what they look like and the probes are ~2mm diameter. If you look at the reviews there, one reviewer mentions that his Fluke meters come with TL75s. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it log only voltage or also current ac and dc |
Answer: | Most of the functions I've used can all be logged. I'm pretty sure each option on the meter can be logged. |
Question: | Is this meter accurate in the mOhm ranges? I need to use this for milli-ohm bonding checks in the 10 to 50m ohm range |
Answer: | The range your referring to I believe is the 50ohm not 50mohm range. I use it for motor windings, relay coils and solenoids. Works great for readings from 1-50ohm and is very accurate in that range. If you are needing to measure a bond, connection joint or anything less than 1ohm you want something capable of making a kelvin 4-wire measurement. the fluke 8845 bench meter works great for bench applications. It all depends on your application? the 8845 is more for bench work. If your in the field working with ground grid connections, medium voltage transformers or breakers I would suggest looking at Fluke ground testers, AMEC or MEGGER micro-ohm meters that will put out some current and be more rugged. The fluke 289 is a great meter. I use the 50hm range allot as and I really like being able to record and trend. |

With the Fluke Connect app and enabled tools you can view multiple measurements of energized components from up to 20 feet away from the test point. Set up multiple modules and then step out of the hazard zone and remotely view all the measurements simultaneously on a smart phone. By keeping your distance from energized components you can increase your personal safety and efficiently.
Reduce maintenance time and increase uptime
View different measurements—thermal, mechanical, electrical and vibration—from the same piece of equipment at the same time. Seeing the interactions among multiple measurement points can help you spot problems quicker. You can automatically record measurements and upload them to a PC for further analysis and reporting, and save to secure cloud storage. From there, authorized users can easily access baseline data in the field to quickly identify anomalies and resolve problems.
Collaborate with colleagues without leaving the plant floor
Onsite techs can share measurements, graphs and even thermal images with team members located anywhere via a ShareLive video call. Everyone on the call can see the same live data and images on their smart phones. Managers can see all the information they need to issue a work order so technicians can move forward with repairs without leaving the field. That saves extra trips back and forth to the office and helps ensure problems are resolved faster with less downtime.
