Answer:	I would advise against it. This is only a CAT 2 rated meter. That means the internal safety features are not sufficient to handle the higher potential voltage and energy that could come about at a meter panel. http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5019/enYou really want a CAT 3 meter if you want to measure any live breaker panels.If you are going to test for bad circuit breakers that are disconnected from the live wiring then you could use this meter to check for continuity and the like. Do not use this meter on anything more powerful than a wall outlet. CAT 3 meters are available for not much more money.
Question:	What's the lowest ohm reading it is capable of
Answer:	Yes, the Innova is great for finding parasitic leaks in boats and cars. Turn everything off..... EVERYTHING and then disconnect the negative battery cable. Insert the meter in series with the neg bat terminal and the end of the cable. If there is a current leak it will show on the meter when it is set on the AMPS function. Becareful that you don't turn anything on when the meter is connected because the AMP mode is not fused. If a current reading shows on the meter start pulling fuses and disconnecting devices until the reading drops to zero therefore isolating the problem

Answer:	I'm assuming you have tried moving the main test mode selection dial to some position other than 'off'. Do you have another 9V battery on hand you could use instead? It's possible the battery you received with the tester is bad. If another battery does not solve the issue, then it's possible you received a bad unit.

Answer:	plug the red lead into the meter socket marked COM and the black into the center meter socket. Set the dial to V~ (for AC volts) on the 200 scale (for household current) insert one probe lead into each of the wall socket's vertical slots and move them around a bit inside the outlet slots to make sure you're getting a good connection, if in doubt plug a lamp or something into the socket. If you suspect the outlet socket itself has failed carefully remove the wall plate in order to access the actual wires connected to the outlet to be sure it's either a dead circuit or the outlet itself has failed.

Answer:	It doesn't do anything differently FROM a multimeter. It is a multimeter with a continuity function.

Answer:	While as some people suggested, a 9V battery may read slightly higher, a 12V automotive may read closer to 14V than 12V, but a 3.7V battery should never read higher than 4.2V. Odds are your meter left the factory miscalibrated or not calibrated at all and some part in it is out of specification. If you are adept at tracing electronic circuits then you may be able to open the meter and determine the correct component to change to fix the miscalibration issue, but it would be more of an academic exercise than a good investment of time since you will still end up with a low end meter selling for $8.
Question:	Can anyone tell me the functions the does differently to a multimeter
Answer:	It may have 3 digits but it can not accurately measure milli-ohms, nor can any other meter that is not using a 4 wire probe setup and one that costs at least several hundred dollars. There is so much involved in getting milli-ohm accuracy I could write for hours, for example just the pressure and angle of your probes, the proximity of the wires to themselves, other metal object, flex of the probes, the fitting of probes in the meter, and thats just 1/10th of probe issues, then take in account of the power supply related issues, pcb design issues a to d conversions and no way can a 18$ meter give accurate or even relative accurate milli-ohm readings. It is just a common marketing ploy.

Answer:	yes, insert the black lead in to com. and red test lead to VQmAuA, turn the dial to Q . put leads on capacitor outlets and hold til until readings stabilize, The lcd will read OC if there is an open circuit. If less than .050 check for loose connections or damaged wire.

Answer:	Hi there. I use this meter at work, and I make measurements as low as 2 ohms. I would have to say the if you are measuring in the area of a fraction of one ohm I am not sure. But I've used this meter in place of my Fluke 8060 and it seems to do the job quite well. I like the display. Its very easy to read when working in dark areas. Good luck. SMINC
Question:	What size banana connectors do the probs use
Answer:	I like this meter but I wouldn't suggest it for direct sunlight use. I would get one with a more traditional LCD display.
Question:	What is the lowest resistance it will read
Answer:	It will not report a capacity value of batteries. The meter does allow you to measure the D.C. voltage of a battery, and from the voltage value you can correlate a battery's capacity. Anything above approximately 1.40 volts (AA and AAA are both 1.5 Volt batteries) and the battery is still usable.
Question:	How easy can you read in sunlight
Answer:	This DVM measures AC and DC, so it can check the output of any wall wart... Just check the adapter to see if it puts out AC or DC and set the DVM accordingly.

Answer:	Hi there. To keep the display on (no auto off), while the rotary selector control is in the OFF position, hold the the SELECT button (white) down and turn the unit ON. You will hear a series of BEEPS reminding you that the auto OFF is now disengaged. While using the meter you will hear a series of BEEPS from time to time reminding you that the display is remaining ON and that batteries are draining because the display draws a lot of battery power to function. If the meter is turned OFF and then ON again auto display resets itself to save power. Hope this helps. SMINC
Question:	Does this meter have HRC ceramic fuses and what are they rated for
Answer:	Hi there. The vast majority of banana plugs (male) are the unshouded 4 mm type. Generally, if you purchase a test probe set they will be 4 mm. The picture of the Neoteck TRMS shows unshouded banana plugs on the far right.
