User questions & answers
Question: | Does it have low battery indicator |
Answer: | I am not sure how you intend to mount it under a cabinet, but yes, it would work great for make-up pencils/brushes. pay attention to the depth of the drawers. I use it on my desk to store iPhone charging cables, pens, finger nail files, etc. wonderful storage. |
Question: | Does this come with the test leads or do they have to be ordered separately |
Answer: | 46 color pencils with the dividers/48 with out92 total over 2 drawers |
Question: | I need to measure down to 0.001 amps. Does this multimeter have this resolution |
Answer: | That's a good question for the manufacturer. #5 is a fine point. #6 is a broad. Can it be replaced? I don't know. |
Question: | Is model 510 auto ranging |
Answer: | It comes with a international-sized piston converter for use with bottle ink (refillable cartridge), but uses the 'short international' sized fountain pen ink cartridge. |
Question: | On the amprobe 37xr-a, they mention the magnetic strap holster. what is that. looked at the manual, and all i see is a clip that comes out, no holste |
Answer: | The nib can be removed while cleaning, but you may not need to. A good flush with tap water, or a pen cleaning solution should be all you need to use, as long as you have been using traditional fountain pen ink (non-pigmented water based dye ink). |
Question: | I am testing a solar array that has more than 10 A DC. Can this DMM measure more than 10 A ? If not what kind of Tester has more than 10 A |
Answer: | The pen comes with cartridges and an ink converter which is a device you fill from a bottle of ink and install similarly to a cartridge in the pen. |
Question: | Could you tell me which is the total weight including packaging ? Tks |
Answer: | It comes with three ink cartridges and an adapter. If you can find a cartridge that is compatible with the pen, then yes. But if you can find an inkwell with the sepia ink, which isn't impossible, then the adapter will work just as well. |
Question: | On the 37xr-a, how easily can the continuity beep be heard? e.g. Heard over background noise? And does it beep at all measures of continuity |
Answer: | I am right handed, but when I try to write or draw with my left hand the pen works just fine. I often draw with it upside down for finer line weights, so I would say the flexible nib is pretty forgiving. I can "push" it in any direction and still get a nice line! I hope that helps! |

User questions & answers
Question: | On the amprobe 37xr-a, they mention the magnetic strap holster. what is that. looked at the manual, and all i see is a clip that comes out, no holste |
Answer: | the inner copper plug is about 4mm and the outer plastic lead cover is about 7mm, These are great leads and the alligator attachment screws over the pointed leads. I use them a lot and for the price they are a great deal. I use a Mastech MS8268 meter that I really like as well. After looking at the Craftsman meters online they look like they should fit, provided that the copper plug has the outer plastic cover over the copper plugs. I hope that helps you. They are pretty universal with higher end multimeters. They also look just like the Craftsman meter lead sold by Amazon. |
Question: | I am testing a solar array that has more than 10 A DC. Can this DMM measure more than 10 A ? If not what kind of Tester has more than 10 A |
Answer: | yes |
Question: | Could you tell me which is the total weight including packaging ? Tks |
Answer: | No they will not under designed use. I suppose they could be "helped" to puncture insulation with some external additional pressure, but that is not their designed function. |
Question: | On the 37xr-a, how easily can the continuity beep be heard? e.g. Heard over background noise? And does it beep at all measures of continuity |
Answer: | Ǹot sure, but works on craftsman and masteredbrand ( Chinese) look like standard banana jacks plugs. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I test capacitance of 1 to 10 nF accuracy |
Answer: | Any K type temperature probe will work with this multimeter. |
Question: | please is it possible to get only the temperature probe |
Answer: | I had it fail to read continuity twice, rendering it not trustworthy, and the beep is fairly delayed. It is certainly not as fast as a Fluke 115/117. I returned mine. |
Question: | How does the continuity test work for the AM-570? Does it beep pretty quickly or do you have to wait multiple seconds |
Answer: | No. This meter is not a process meter. Process meters have an accuracy of about 0.2% for the 20mA range, this one is 1.5%. There are a few more detailed reasons, but to do any sort of instrument work you need a process meter like a Fluke 789 or an Extech PRC. |
Question: | I need to measure 4 to 20 milliamps with reasonable accuracy. Will this meter handle that |
Answer: | For your information, all Etekcity smart switches require a neutral wire and there's no alternative solution currently. Since smart switches offer more features and better indication than traditional switches, its internal components need to consume power. Although the power is small, but it is still difficult to take power from a single fire line, therefore, a neutral line is required as it makes the smart switch more stable and safer. User questions & answers
Question: | Can this multimeter be used for an Automtive Tech |
Answer: | While this multimeter can do plenty of things for automotive. Most serious mechanics get the 87 or 88 series. |
Question: | what is the range of the capacitor that can be tested in this model |
Answer: | hope this helps. Range/Resolution: 1000 nF / 1 nFRange/Resolution: 10.00 μF / 0.01 μFRange/Resolution: 100.0 μF / 0.1 μFRange/Resolution: 9999 μF / 1 μFRange/Resolution: 100 μF to 1000 μFAccuracy: 1.9% + 2Range/Resolution: > 1000 μFAccuracy: 5% + 20% |
Question: | Can this multimeter be used on vehicles for a parasitic load test? I don't want to spend over $400 for the Fluke 88 as it is for personal vehicle use |
Answer: | it has been used on motorbikes for sure. It just needs to be in amp mode. If you're doing parasitic load, then you're focused on DC Amps. The 117 has up to 6, while the 88 has up to 10. I don't see a big issue as you're just doing parasitic, not actual use. If anything actually pulls more than 6, you'll blow the internal fuse and have to replace it, but that's about it. Shouldn't be a problem(I've just tested mine on my car and it works). |
Question: | What are the differences to pick between the Fluke 117 and the Fluke 115? My intended use would for ham radio and kit-building of electronic kits |
Answer: | The 117 adds • VoltAlert™ technology for non-contact voltage detection • AutoVolt automatic ac/dc voltage selection Both are handy but not essential. Be aware of none of these 'electrician' Flukes (115/116/117) read milliamps or microamps -- essential for electronics troubleshooting & design work but unnecessary for electrician tech work. That said, when reading current in amps they do seem to read accurate down to around at least 0.010 amps (10 milliamps) or so. |
Question: | is it two prong or three prong? can't see it in the picture |
Answer: | It's actually made to be plugged into a grounded wall socket, replacing the 2 3-pronged outlets with its 6 available grounded outlets. It can even replace the outlet cover and be screwed into place. I've got a bunch of these and love them. |
Question: | What are the actual dimensions of this unit |
Answer: | against the wall, mine is about 4 inches wide, 4 3/4 inches tall, and about 1 3/4 inches deep |
Question: | Will this work with half-switched outlets (where one outlet is always live and one is switched), or do all the outlets get power from only one outlet |
Answer: | All power for this device comes from the TOP outlet of your receptacle -- so if that is switched then all outlets on this device will be switched (or if your bottom outlet is switched then all outlets on this device will NOT be switched). |
Question: | Can this actually completely replace the existing outlet wall plate, or does it only plug in/screw on TOP of the wall plate |
Answer: | This can replace the existing wall plate -- that's how I am using it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | One Answer says the light turns off ten minutes. Could this be the meter turning off at ten minutes? ...and the Backlight stays on till then |
Answer: | You can not do that with this instrument. You must get another clamp or meter that is special for reading mA... |
Question: | Does the BackLight stay on, or does it turn off after a few minutes |
Answer: | Dan, It reads three decimal places after the period, what do you think it is reading? |
Question: | Are micro amp measure using the clamp |
Answer: | Hello,Thank you for your message. Please be advised that NIST calibrated items are not stock items, but they are certainly available. The lead time is typically about 3 weeks, including time to be calibrated. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.Regards,Customer Service |
Question: | In the product features, a "work light" is listed. what is this exactly, the screen light or what |
Answer: | The THWD-10W is not suitable for use in a steam oven. |
Question: | On the amprobe 37xr-a, they mention the magnetic strap holster. what is that. looked at the manual, and all i see is a clip that comes out, no holste |
Answer: | Yes it probably could, This tool is very sensitive as I do a lot of work in HVAC on rental properties that I own. Living in hot humid florida it will flat out pick the slightest leaks of outside air around door gaps, window frames, sliding glass doors plus what you have coming out of you AC ducts. I found it to be very usefull. Be carefull when handling the probe tip. I;ve it for a year now and after heavy use probably I should check the calibration which the instructions tell you. Also measures wet and dry bulb temperatures. Good luck with your Orchids |
Question: | I am testing a solar array that has more than 10 A DC. Can this DMM measure more than 10 A ? If not what kind of Tester has more than 10 A |
Answer: | No it does not. |
Question: | Could you tell me which is the total weight including packaging ? Tks |
Answer: | I wouldn't leave it outdoors. It is mainly a portable, instant read device. |
Question: | On the 37xr-a, how easily can the continuity beep be heard? e.g. Heard over background noise? And does it beep at all measures of continuity |
Answer: | This would work to detect live wires. High range is over 1500 Volts to 122 Kilovolts. The directions say - approach the probe tip near, but not touching the high voltage conductor using a hot stick to maintain a safe distance from the wire (We use a 4 ft. hot stick for the lower voltages that we deal with, under 12 KV). Ideally you would use this device where you see the wire still above ground and not get close to where the wire is touching the ground due to the dangers of step potential, which can be deadly. Good luck. |

User questions & answers
Question: | its years old but i rarely used it. seems mine no longer is showing polarity,ac/dc or sleep or battery is the lcd bad |
Answer: | Chicory is a root not a bean, it comes as a ground or root pieces. I use the ground chicory, it goes further. I use chicory as a coffee additive as it cuts the acid in the coffee. I put 5 or 6 tablespoons of the ground root into a french press and fill it with cold water. Then add it to already made coffee. For those who like chicory coffee (it was drunk exclusively in the South following the Civil War, as real coffee beans were not accessible) - simply pour the soaked chicory from your french press and heat it up. To actually brew it I would suggest talking to an expert. I have drunk it in New Orleans, but you chew as well as drink. I would prefer filtered. |

Amprobe ACD-10 PLUS 600A Clamp Multimeter
The Amprobe ACD-10 Plus digital clamp meter is an average-sensing, auto-ranging multimeter for measuring current, voltage, capacitance, resistance, and frequency in electrical testing applications. It has a transformer clamp that measures alternating current (AC) to 600 amp and frequency to 100 kilohertz (kHz), and it comes with detachable test leads that measure direct current (DC) voltage and AC voltage to 600 volts (V), capacitance to 3,000 microfarads, resistance to 40 megaohms, and frequency to 100 kHz. The clamp has two 0.4" (10 mm) thick jaws that are slimmer than standard clamp jaws for improved access to tight areas. The jaws can close around electrical conductors up to 1" (26 mm) in diameter to measure current without touching or interrupting the circuit. A relative zero mode stores a reading in memory to use as a zero point for subsequent readings, allowing for quick comparison of multiple readings. The maximum reading mode displays the highest reading in a session to track a sudden increase in measurements. An audible continuity sensor confirms that the circuit conducts electricity, and a diode test detects whether a circuit’s diodes are working properly. The hold function keeps the reading on the display, even after the meter is disconnected. The unit automatically turns off after 30 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced. A finger guard on the body of the meter helps protect fingers from shock.
Auto-Ranging Multimeter
This average-sensing, or average-responding, meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the current or voltage has a sinusoidal waveform. It is an auto-ranging multimeter and automatically selects the correct operating range for the property being measured.
Thin Jaws, Only 10mm (0.4”) Thick
Amprobe’s ACD-10 PLUS meter offers thinner jaws over standard clamp meters. Allowing access to tight measurement areas and still accommodating conductors up to 25 mm.
Large LCD Display
The meter has a 4,000-count resolution, meaning that it can display up to 3,999 units (3-3/4 digits) before the operating range needs to be changed.
