Answer:	Any switch will work in the 2nd location. However, if you turn off the 2nd location switch, the sensor remote won't work, until you turn the other switch on.

Answer:	It doesn’t in my garage. You can adjust the sensitivity. I find that the trigger is more the movement of the IR source that triggers. If I sit in a chair and don’t move for 15 min, the lights go off. If I park a vehicle right in front of the switch the lights will go off after the time out. So static heat source is not a trigger.

Answer:	I do not idea about the distance in perpendicular direction. My sensor is installed in a narrow corridor so the detection is done on an inclined plane. The detection range in that situation is about 2 meters.

Answer:	The one illustrated clearly is a three-way. The Leviton description and spec page also has it listed as a three-way (http://www.leviton.com/OA_HTML/ProductDetail.jsp?partnumber=1223-PLC§ion=41455&minisite=10251). My order never went through, as it said there were two left but when it came time to ship there were none to be found. Just make sure you run an extra neutral for the pilot light if you want to take advantage of that feature.

Answer:	It reads 660 watt max total for both bulbs, but I use two fluorescent at 40 watt each just to make sure. The adapter itself is very fragile. Mine broke.

Answer:	I haven't used that type of bulb myself in the socket, but it is a standard socket and anything with a standard base should fit...just like the ones in regular house lamps. I have used incandescent, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs in these.

Answer:	I have them installed in my stairwell to my basement. They are brighter when the light is on and glow dimly when the light is off. They do not require a neutral wire in the hookup. Basically a neon lamp in the toggle acting the same as a neon tester with one lead in your fingers.

Answer:	you could put a plug in socket adapter into one side and a bulb in the other, but not a wired one. both sides are threaded for light bulbs or adapters.

Answer:	I believe the limit is a combined total of 660 watts for the two-receptacle adapter. That said, you should be able to use two 300-watt incandescent bulbs at the same time (=600 watts). If I were you I would use two similar bulbs of the same type and wattage, whether incandescent, fluorescent, or LED. I run two table lamps with these adapters, each with 2 dimmable LED bulbs, 17 (or so) watts each, for a total of 34 watts, through a single rotary dimmer switch. Used every day, it has now been nearly 4 years and have never had an issue, let alone a problem. I also have a floor lamp with a similar arrangement, but using a 4-bulb adapter -- again, have never encountered a problem.

About PIR Technology

Answer:	No, the other answers are wrong. I've installed 2 of these and the manual that it ships with shows that it is powered through the ground wire, and if you watch the install video here on amazon it also shows the same.

Answer:	all depends on your voltage in Europe. Seems to me if it is 110 to 277 volts there should not be a problem. anything more than that and it probably will not work. best bet would be get ahold of Leviton.

Connect the blue wire on each to the black wire going to the light. That will allow both to sense motion at same time. Can also be used with a normal 3 way switch where blue is the carrier wire.

About PIR Technology

The ODS10-ID uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology via a segmented Fresnel lens to monitor a room for occupancy. This specialized lens divides the field of view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the lights on. The lights will remain on as long as there is an occupant in the room. When the space being monitored by the sensor is unoccupied for the preset time you've chosen, the unit will switch the lights on.

Long Life and Automatic or Manual Operation

To ensure longer service life and compatibility with electronic ballasts, the ODS10-ID carefully times its switching-contact opening and closing with the zero crossing point of the AC power curve (Zero Crossing Technology). Additionally, a latching relay provides prevents product failure when used with high inrush loads.

For manual control, the ODS10-ID features a convenient push-button switch. If the lights are off, pressing the button will turn lights on and keep them on for as long as the room is occupied.
