In theory you can probably use a "solid state relay" or use an "AND Gate" or a "OR GATE" both connected to the same circuit while keeping the supply voltage at 5.0 volts (perhaps a (5.0 Volt) voltage regulator since it should operate between 6 and 24 volts} to support the gates, plus other logic to get it up to the 6 to 24 volt level. You will have to draw this out and look at it. If you stay in touch I can figure that out down the road. I do plan to buy another one, but I haven't even wired this one up yet. | Question: | can't you simply break the output with a photo sensor and have it work only at night |
| Answer: | that is not how I use mine. but I do believe is theoretically possible provided the photo sensor doesn't draw too many amps you may need to use a relay. Motion is detected powers sent to the photocell photocell is activated because it's dark and allows power to flo to the light the light is on. make sense to me I think it would work ! |
| Question: | How do you adjust the length of time the unit keeps the lights on? Is a special tool required to adjust the on time? If so where is the tool |
| Answer: | If you look at the side of the device opposite the green connector, you'll see a little dial with a small slotted adjustment at the center. With a small screwdriver you adjust that until you have the amount of 'ON' time desired. The markings are not 'absolute', and serve only as a reference. |
| Question: | Does this unit have a spot were a light detection resister could be added |
| Answer: | Just add a photosensing relay on the output. There are several 12 v AC/DC available on Amazon for less than $6.DO NOT put the relay on the input unless you want the unit to trigger on power-up every time the light level drops. |
| Question: | Can this be wired in parallel to have two of these connected to one light |
| Answer: | I don't see why not. It's simply +\- in and +\- out. Only concern would be what happens if they both activate at once. Should still provide just 12 V since they're in parallel but would be worth checking all parameters with a multimeter before connecting it to light. |
