Answer:	No, they are not dimmable. And they are VERY bright. You can't look right at them when turning them on. It will blind you for a few seconds.

Answer:	Amazons rules are usually free return shipping if defective. Buying from a 3rd party, complete the return request and it will tell you how to return. My husband installed a switch upside down, therefore, I had to put my faceplate upside down. At first I thought it was defective.

Answer:	No this is a single pole switch, in other words a light that is only controlled by one switch. You can still put a dimmer on a 2 poke light, but you have to get one that is made for that. If you put a single pole switch with a fixture controled by two switches if one is off the light wont work.
Question:	Does it come on automatically at night and go off during daylight hours
Answer:	The switch plate basically is a "night light" - it has small LED's encased in the base of the plate. When light is low (or at night) these come on - when there IS light, they turn off. To be sure there is no confusion, it does not operate the light that the switch controls....

Answer:	In a 3-way installation, you will need the instruction manual from the GE Add-on Switch (model 12723 or 46199) for wiring the primary and add-on switch. It matters which side of the 3-way (Line side or load side) you wire the primary switch because it will change how you have to wire it. Answer:	This product can be used to dim xenon style lamps if they are the filament style xenon products. If not, then Lutron would recommend reaching out to the manufacture to check with them on what control they recommend to use with their lamp.

Answer:	The switch you are trying to replace is a four way. There is not any dimmer capable of replacing that switch. If you install the dimmer you have at either of the other 2 switches that control the same light it will work fine. The other 2 switches are 3 way switches. They will have 3 wires going to them.

Answer:	On the package it says 7 watt bulb. There is no printing on the bulb. Buy at your own risk it blew the circuit breaker and shorted out my T.V. which was plug in on the same line but in a different socket. Hired an electrician to check my wiring it is fine. Now all I have to do is come up with the money to buy a new T.V. But I did get my $4.00 refund. GOOD LUCK ! Beth

Answer:	Most other switches of this type that are rated for 12vdc 20a are also rated for some type of ac amperage. The listing here doesn't mention AC rating, but there's no difference between a dc or an ac switch, they both simply complete, or break a circuit. You can find others of this same exact type, in this price range that do have an AC rating printed on them. I wouldn't hesitate to use one of these in an AC application if it was a low amperage circuit. 1-2 amps I would think falls into that category. If you are uncomfortable with my logic, like mentioned before, there are others listed that do have an AC rating as well as DC for around the same price, but if I had these kicking around I'd use it because my logic is that voltage isn't the issue when choosing an electrical component, but the amperage.

Answer:	It fits tight as a blanket around a newborn.

Answer:	sounds like you have need for a 3 way switch. Most (not all but the vast majority) of single pole applications have 2 black wire, the next would be a white and a black (when power originates at the light it travels down a 2wire w/g) where one takes power to the switch and the other back up to the hit wire on the light. Most, the vast majority of applications where a red wire is attached to a switch is in a 3 way application (2 switch's operating light for different locations). In a 3 way this must be followed, one switch takes the power, the other to the light. No matter how it's wired this is the only way they will work as they should. The dark screw on a three way switch either gets the power or the wire to the light-s. the other 2 are indifferent and often the red and white TRAVELER wires, not the white neutral wire needed for the light to work. These instructions are for the USA, European wiring is much different.
Question:	What Is Its Longevity
Answer:	The ground is meant for safety, however the switches will operate without a ground connected. The issue is that these and most other automated switches require 3 wires to operate. Line, Load, and Neutral. When you pull the standard switch out of the wall, the 2 hot wires connected to the switch are actually the Line and Load. The neutral wires are referencing white wires that would have to be found in the back of the box that are not connected to the previous switch. These are required to keep the circuit alive in the switch for the wireless radio to operate. without it, this and almost all other automated switches and timer devices cannot operate.

If you have two cable pairs going to the fan, then you can buy two of these and control the fan and light separately.

Do not perform wiring when power is being supplied to a switch. Also, do not touch any of the charged terminals when power is being supplied.
