Answer:	This is a three way light switch. The one that's $11 less might be a single pole light switch.

Answer:	I am an electronics engineer and not a certified electrician who does house wiring. I just installed one and will share my experience here but it is up to the reader to use my guidance or not. To install this switch one needs to first identify the 'Live' vs. 'Load' switch. In a stairway or a large room, three way switches are installed to turn light on/off from either end. One of these switches will take the live wire and the single pole double throw switch (3way switch) will connect the live wire to traveler 1 or traveler 2. These wires simply go the other switch. The center (pole) of the other switch will be connected to 'load' i.e. light bulb. Since only one side needs to be a wifi connected switch and it requires power for the electronics in it, all the time, that wifi switch needs Live and Neutral wires. So first determine which side of the room or stair has the live wire. To do this, you should use a volt meter. Live will always have 110 to 120V regardless of the switch positions. Here is where one has to be extra careful because if the circuit breaker is turned off first, you will not be able to test this. But once you determine this you should turn of the circuit breaker before you proceed. Second, look for a neutral wire (normally white) in that box. If not, you have to pull a wire from the bulb to the box so that it will be same circuit (in your breaker box). So now you have to connect the live (from the old switch usually screwed on with a black screw on the bottom) to the wifi switch and neutral to neutral. The other two wires are from the old switch go to traveler 1 and 2 and it does not matter which one goes into 1 or 2. I connected the green ground wire to the switch box since I know in my house the wiring is done with metal conduits and the boxes are properly grounded.

Answer:	Yes, in one specific case, but first a little background. If you look at a schematic of a 4 (or more) way installation, you'll notice that the first switch (that is, the switch that is connected to the AC power source) is actually a 3 way switch. The intermediate switches are 4 way switches, and the last switch (the switch that's actually connected to the light fixture) is again a three way switch. I STRONGLY suggest you do a Google search on "4 way switch schematic" to get an idea of what I'm describing. The Gosund SW6 switch is a three way switch, so you would think it should be able to replace the first or last switch. However, that's not quite true. The Gosund switch has to be continuously powered (in order to power the internal electronics and WiFi transceiver in the switch), so the ONLY place you can install it is in the FIRST three way switch position, where it will be continuously powered by the AC supply. First, you HAVE to find the FIRST three way switch (The one powered by the 120V supply). Connect the Hot (normally Black) supply wire to the "Live" terminal of the switch and the neutral (normally white) to the white pigtail. The two Travelers and the neutral are then wired to the intermediate 4 way switches per the Google schematic you Googled. (And don't forget to connect the green ground wire.) So, if you wire it as above, Bob's your uncle.

Answer:	I was able to accomplish this, I installed the smart switch labeled A on one of the three way boxes and left the other conventional switch installed on the alternate three way box, the setup worked as expected with one smart switch and one conventional switch working off of each other. The caveat is that the remaining switch in the package (B) will be useless because it is linked internally to the other switch and you can't undo this link, I tried, in other words you cannot use the second smart switch for another three way setup with another three way light, it will try to link back to its other sibling, so to answer your question yes you can use one three-way smart switch with another conventional three way switch but you have throw away the remaining smart switch. My advice, get a three way smart switch that only requires one smart switch, TreatLife has one that does exactly that. To be honest I don't understand why Teckin has this setup where they have to link both switches together, it's useless.

How to Connect TESSAN 3-Way Smart Switch?

Notice：Scan the QR code of instruction to download and install Smart Life app for iOS or Android phone (iOS 8.0 or Higher. Android 4.4 or higher). Make sure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G.

• Step One: Go to Smart Life APP. Tap "Add device" or "+" to add a smart device in app. Select "Electrician" > "Swicth (Wi-Fi)".

Q1：Should this switch be placed at the (load) end closest to the light fixture or on the (line) end receiving power from the service panel?

A: This switch should be placed at the (load) end closest to the light fixture.

Q2: Can this be used to replace the switch connected to line in?

A: It must have accessed to the load (wire to the light) though so it needs to be located on that side. Power is connected to the switch and one of the travelers so it doesn’t matter which side power is on.

Q3: Why are my lights flickering when dimmer is set to 100%?

A: Please make sure your LED bulb is dimmable type. Support dimmable triac LEDs and dimmable CFLs max 250W, incandescent bulbs max 430W.

Q4: Can this switch be used with a 3way on/off smart switch at the other end to make both side to be smart?

A: TESSAN 3-way smart dimmer only can be connect with traditional 3-way switch or can be used as a single-pole switch.

Q5: Why the switch can't connect to wifi?

A: Kindly please check and follow the steps:

1> Make sure your WiFi router on 2.4G Channel, no access limitation (like Static IP or Mac Address Bonding), set a different name for the two channels when the router is on 2.4G and 5G mixed mode, as "wifi 2.4g" and "wifi 5g".

3> Make sure your phone is on 2.4ghz channel When syncing with switch.

4> Use the AP mode will improve your success rate for the wifi connection.

5> Please check the number of devices connected to wifi router, When the number exceeds the performance of the router, the wifi connection would be unstable or failed. so you need pause or turn off some devices, For some old routers, keep the number of devices connected to the router less than 10 at the same time, it will improve your success rate for the wifi connection.

Timer Switch and Automation

It's a timer dimmer switch, you can set automatic schedules for your light easily. Using the Smart Life app, you can schedule your hall lights to turn off at sunrise, or synchronize your living room lights with the sunset so you never come home to a dark house. Works with IFTTT to create applets according to your needs.

STEP 1: Install the Master Switch and Add-On Switch

-> Attach the white wire(neutral wire) from the master switch to the group of white wires (neutral wire) in the electric box.

-> Attach the black wire(live wire) from the master switch to the hot wire in the electric box.

-> Attach the TRA-2 wire(brown) from the Add-on switch and the load wire from the light bulb to the TRA-2 wire(brown) from the master switch.

-> Attach the TRA-1(red) wire from the Add-on switch to the TRA-1 wire(red) from the master switch.

-> Attach the ground wire(green) from the master switch to the group of ground wire, and Add-on switch is the same.

STEP 2: Check the Wiring is Correct

-> Check the led indicator of the master switch, when the green led Indicator flashes quickly, it means you have a wrong wiring, back to Step 1 to check and rewiring. if the red led indicator is always on, go to the next step.

-> Manually turn on/off and Dim/Brighten the switch, if the light bulb work well, the wiring is ok. if you can only turn on/off the light, but can't dim or brighten the lights normally, back to Step 1 to check and rewiring (usually is the wire to the light bulb have a wrong connection to TRA1, attach it to the TRA-2(master or add-on switch is ok) will slove the problem)

STEP 3: Connect the Smart Switch to Wifi

1> Login the "Smart Life - Smart Living" App with your account.

2> Click"+" in the top right corner of app to add the smart switch.

3> Click "Switch(Wi-Fi)" in Electrician Category.

4> Check the switch is in the pair mode, AP mode will be more stable when connect the switch to wifi

5> Follow the app instructions to complete the addition

STEP 4: Pair works with Alexa/Google home

click"Skills" > search"Smart Life" app > click"enable" > Login with your smart life account (the same account that you pair with your switch) > click "Link now" > finished

Q1: Why the switch can't control the lights? or Why the switch can't turn on/off and dim/brighten the lights?

A: You have a wrong wiring, please back to step 1 to check and rewiring the switch, or you can mail our support team for further assistance, please note take a photo about the wiring of the old switch you replaced will be very useful for your installation.

Q2: Why the switch can't connect to wifi?

A: Kindly please check and follow the steps:

1> Check the Wiring follow the Wiring Diagram and STEP 1

2> Make sure your WiFi router on 2.4G Channel, no access limitation (like Static IP or MacAddress Bonding), set a different name for the two channel when the router is on 2.4G and 5G mixed mode, as "wifi 2.4g" and "wifi 5g".

3> Make sure your phone is on 2.4ghz channel When syncing with switch.

4> Installed the correct App named "Smart Life - Smart Living" or "Tuya Smart".

5> Use the AP mode will improve your success rate for the wifi connection.

6> Please check the number of devices connected to wifi router, When the number exceeds the performance of the router, the wifi connection would be unstable or failed. so you need pause or turn off some devices, For some old routers, keep the number of devices connected to the router less than 10 at the same time, it will improve your success rate for the wifi connection.

Q3: Why the switch can't connect works with Alexa/Google home?

A: -> Make sure your switch was installed correctly, add the switch in the "smart life" APP and be sure the switch works well with the smart life app.

-> Check the skill your enabled was correct (the same as the Smart Life App logo).

-> Verify that the account used in the skill is the same as in the Smart Life App (many people use another account).
