Question:	Will this work for wires around a vehicle engine
Answer:	Mitutoyo 103-129 measures MM (metric) and has a "ratchet stop" on the thimble, 102-707 also measures MM (metric) and has a "ratchet stop". Basically appears that the difference would be in the basic shape of the micrometer body, no big deal. Both would work fine, I personally like the ratchet thimble for accuracy. Unless you work in "tenths" (.0001), (neither are set up to do so) I wouldn't spend the $$ for the more expensive unit. Make sure they come with a case for storage. I have used Mitutoyo for over 50 years, never any issues.
Question:	Could I cut these to be shorter or will they fray
Answer:	The rotating thimble is metallic. The small safety lever is plastic. The small part where the ratchet is rotated is also plastic. As far as I know, Mitutoyo produce very high quality products this is a nice Micrometer. I bought one some time ago and I am very happy with my micrometer.

Answer:	I do not know where those were made, but! The piece that I bought has the inscription "Made in Japan" everywhere. It brought its certificate of inspection, One year warranty certificate, User's manual and others paper stuff in English/Japanese.

Question:	Can I power this wire through the wires from my electric outlet and run it through the wall without having the wires show on the outside
Answer:	If you have a spare wire (in my case Blue was not connected) you could hook that to blue in the furnace - this would save you from having to pull out through the wall to the thermostat. Usually you wouldn't do this, because if you a spare wire in the furnace, you just connect it to the screw-down on the furnace board that says "C".
Question:	My nest thermostat uses y1, g, rc, w1, and rh. do i use c and double up the rc or rh? or something else? thanks
Answer:	Yes this will work. It supplies the required 24VAC There's an answer to this question with a link. The power adapter it sends you to wiill NOT work, it's 12VDC . The ecobee4 requires 24VAC
Question:	Nest e: has an r (power) connection, no rc or rh. so i connect one adapter wire to the c, does the other go to the r? what about the existing r wire
Answer:	The Rh will go to the red and the white will go to the W/W1. Then the two wires on this adaptor will go to the Rc (hot) and C (common/ground). They basically power your thermostat unit separately. Hope this helps.
Question:	I purchased this but am still struggling to figure out how it will woth my Nest Thermostat E. There is no "RC" on this thermostat
Answer:	Just put one wire from transformer in c spot and other wire in the r slot ALONG with the original r wire your unit has. Yes I’m telling you one wire from transformer plus ur r wire in the R slot together. Best of luck

Answer:	You would have to discuss this with the company that makes them. However, the dependency would be the power drawn from each thermostat - if they are the new low energy types it may work. The only problem would be the wiring.

Answer:	The "exposed wire" are leads that you connect to your thermostat, or video doorbell. They're not exposed once you connect them.

Answer:	This will work with any thermostat. It simply provides the 24V power needed assuming your tstat wire and doesn’t have the additional wires for 24v power. Most furnaces have the 120/24V transformer, but older homes tstat wire never had enough conductors. Newer homes should. Regardless, yes, this transformer with work.
Question:	Does this work with the ring doorbell
Answer:	If you use this with the Ring 2 be sure to check the instructions on the Ring website (https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/205180710-How-to-Connect-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Directly-to-a-Low-Voltage-Transformer-Without-a-Pre-existing-Doorbell-) for connecting to a power supply without a doorbell. To keep from damaging the Ring a 25 Ohm resistor needs to be added between the charger and the Ring, mine worked for about a week before the Ring quit accepting the charge. My Ring still works, but won't accept a charge or activate a doorbell.

Answer:	Yes, it should work just fine unless the run is unusually long. 16 gauge copper wire has a resistance of about 4 ohms per 1000 feet. That means that a pair of wires would have a resistance of about 8 ohms per 1000 feet. If the run from your amplifier to the speakers is 100 feet the resistance would be about 0.8 ohms which would not be a problem. If the run is longer than 100 feet you might want to consider heavier wire.

AWG is developed for electrical resistance classification of Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) wires. High current application specifying AWG standard assumes the wire is OFC.
