This product is a dual dimmer to be used with 300Watts on the top load and 300Watts on the bottom load. It is also only for use with incandescent and halogen bulbs and could cause flickering when used with CFL or LED bulbs. Answer:	I installed this switch four days ago in my kitchen. I have it controlling LED Gu10 and LED A19 bulbs. The switch works ok with them. A few of the Gu10 bulbs flicker as the bulbs turn on but once at full brightness, they work flawlessly. I really didn't buy the switch to dim bulbs, just to control the lights and after using a double rocker switch for 10 years I wanted a change and there aren't many options so I opted for this switch. It looks pretty cool but if u are looking for dimming functionality with Gu10 bulbs, this may not be the option for you. The A19 bulbs dim without a problem. Tonight I noticed when I turned on the light, that at full brightness, two of the Gu10 bulbs were blinking but only for twenty seconds and since then I've turned the light on several times and it hasn't happened again so we will see.......I really don't feel like going back to the double rocker switch again.

Answer:	Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone, but these switches work just fine with the LED lights in my bathroom. I bought two of these Lutron switches because I needed to add 4 light switches in a 2 gang box. With the exception of one existing light switch, I added three additional lights which all needed to have their own switch. I used the AWESOME Lithonia Lighting wafer thin 6-inch (and one 4-inch) led discs which act like canister lights but are thinner than drywall. With the exception of the 4-inch light, these all work very well with this Lutron dimmer. The 4-inch disc will turn on but when you turn it off, it remains lit at very low lumens which actually acts as a nightlight over the toilet, so I am not bothered by ti. The 6-inch, and the regular LED vanity bulbs work perfectly fine with this switch.

Answer:	The S2-L-WH is only rated to control incandescent/halogen lighting loads (up to 300W per circuit). Due to this fact, Lutron would not suggest using LED lighting with this control.

Answer:	Yes you can. I have two of these switches. In the bathroom, the top switch dims the light. The bottom switch turns the fan on or off. Similar situation in a hall light. These are very useful switches.
Question:	Can the upper dimmer be used in a 3way(multi location) application as the master dimmer
Answer:	It is listed and sold as a single pole dimmer both top and bottom. I used it only as a single pole dimmer. I don't know how you could possibly use it as a three way since it doesn't have contact points for the travelers.
Question:	Has anyone used dimmable led lights with the dimmer? I know the write-up indicates otherwise, but I'm interested in first-hand experience
Answer:	The dimmer side is designed for a minimum load of 40 watts or it will not activate. So if you are trying to control three dimmable 15 watt bulbs this should work, but three 9 watt bulbs and this will not work. Of course the manufacturer says no LEDs maybe because not all LEDs are dimmable.
Question:	Is the lower (non-dimable) switch suitable for a garbage disposal motor load
Answer:	I would think not, your disposal is probably at least 1/2hp or around 6.5 amps that is around 780 watts

Answer:	One of the two controls is for a fan, to control its speed. To control two lighting loads, you should use either two switches or two dimmers.
Question:	Can the fan control be used with a bathroom exhaust fan while the light switch controls the light in the bathroom
Answer:	Yes. There is a common “hot” power lead into the switch. Then that power flows through each of the slides to the fan and the light. However, there has to be a neutral located at both the fan and the light. It would also imply that both are on the same circuit breaker. If it was a fan/light combo unit, then that would be the case for sure.
Question:	Will this work with a 3 wire setup? ( 1 hot, 1 neutral, 1 ground

Answer:	You could use this in conjunction with the Insteon 2475F FanLinc Insteon Dual-Band Ceiling Fan and Light Controller, to controll the light functions. Use your remote to control the fan functions. The switch is of course unnecessary however.
Question:	Can you program 2 remotes to work with one switch? I want one wall mounted and one hand held
Answer:	This item needs to work with an Insteon hub, there is a hub that works with HomeKit. But this is a combination I have not tried.
Question:	Does anyone know if this dimmer works on a three way switch
Answer:	The Smarthome page for the 2466DW says nothing about dual-band. Neither the quickstart guide nor the owners manual say anything about dual-band. The owners manual states, in more than one place, that you need to "make sure you have installed at least two Access Points (#2443) or other dual-band INSTEON products". I think it's pretty certain that this product is NOT dual-band.
Question:	I purchased the Lutron P-PKG1W-WH and my new LED bulbs are flickering when being dimmed. They are dimmable bulbs and I have tried 2 different brands
Answer:	Yes. I have the 2466DW installed in my kitchen in a 3-gang switch box in the center between two other standard Lutron toggle switches. I needed the Insteon as it was the only toggle style dimmer switch compatible with controlling the low-voltage(twicebright CL1220TL) mini-recessed lights that use dimmable LED bulbs above my sink. The switch is high quality and easy to program for the desired on level.

Answer:	Yes it does fit in single box. I used it for ceiling fan. Fan on one dimmer, light on other. I saved a ton and it works great

Answer:	No, it can only control a fan and a light. Two different devices electrically speaking in how they treat the loads. You need a dual dimmer such as Lutron MA-L3L3-WH Maestro 300 Watt Single Pole Dual Dimmer, White . Careful you understand that the combined loads for the two fixtures your dimming does not exceed 300 watts. If you try to dim 300 Watts on each it will overheat a burn out. Think of it as two 150 Watt dimmers in one device and you will be safe.
Question:	Does this work with 2 lights instead of light with fan
Answer:	you could use it with 2 lights, but the second dimmer will have 3 steps (hi-med-low-off) instead of being a granular dimmer as its meant to control a fan speed.
Question:	Is anyone using this switch successfully with LED fixtures
Answer:	This control unfortunately is not designed to work with LEDs (not even if they're dimmable). LEDs require different dimming technology than incandescents. There are quite a few light dimmers available that are designed to work with LEDs, but until very recently, no fan control/LED dimmer combos. I've been looking for a while now and have recently called all four of the major dimmer manufacturers (Leviton, Lutron, Cooper, and Pass & Seymour (LeGrand)). Pass & Seymour just came out with a fan control/dimmer combo that is designed to work with LEDS (P&S Model LSCLDC163PW), but it's still brand-new and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. It looks a lot like this one. (If you search for it, be sure to check the model number because a lot of the search engines (including Amazon's) will return this model instead - very annoying.) The customer service rep at Lutron said that they were receiving a lot of requests for an LED-compatible fan/light control, but they haven't announced anything. I imagine that all of the major fan control manufacturers will come out with something in a year or so, but right now, the only option is the P&S LSCLDC163PW. Hope this helps.

Question:	Can I use one switch kitchen light and the other for a kitchen exhaust fan
Answer:	Probably not, but you buy one that can do both, but you'll have to check you amperage on fan motor and what your switch can take
Question:	Does this dimmer work with cfl and led bulbs (that are designated dimmable
Answer:	No it does not work with led or CFL bulbs (or atleast not correctly)
Question:	Does it work with led bulbs or recessed led
Answer:	The MA-L3L3 is only rated to control a maximum of 600W of incandescent/halogen lighting (300W per circuit). Due to this fact, Lutron would not suggest using LED with this device.
Question:	Is there a switch like this setup that will work with the dimmable Phillips led bulbs

It combines the function of 2 dimmers in one control, but is still packed with all of Maestro's smart features. The easy-to-operate tap switch turns lights on/off to your favorite light level or tap twice for full on. Press, hold and release the switch for delayed fade-to-off. Delayed fade-to-off gives you 10 to 60 seconds to leave the room or get into bed before the lights go out. Adjust the light level for any activity using the rocker.
