1. Does it need a neutral line? How could I know whether there is a neutral line？

Yes, it needs a neutral line.

The best way is to check the actual wires in the switch box, the neutral line is often going to be colored white, but it also may be other colors.

If there are multi-gang switches, that has a much higher likelihood of having neutrals.

If there is a wall outlet near the switch, most likely that switch box has a neutral.

If your house was built in the mid-1980s or later, there is an excellent chance that you have neutral lines in the box.

2. What is the difference between the single-pole switch, dimmer switch, and the 3-way switch?

The single-pole switch is designed to turn on/off the light at only 1 place, but could not control the fan speed or light brightness.

The dimmer switch is designed to turn on/off the light at only 1 place, besides, it also could control the fan speed or light brightness.

The 3-way switch is designed to turn on/off the light at 2 places, but could not control the speed and brightness. The 3-way switch also could be used as the single-pole switch.

3.I have a dual wifi router, How could I use it?

The smart switch needs 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi only, not suitable for 5Ghz

If it broadcast only 1 signal, you will need to go to the Wi-Fi management and create a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal first, choose it and enter the password.

If it is broadcasting both signals, the 5G signal will be ignored. You’ll just choose the 2.4Ghz WIFI and enter the password of it.

Answer:	All of the answers that suggest being on "A and B 120 volt sections" are wrong. This device works over WiFi. That old "A and B" advice is for obsolete powerline systems like X-10. Any problems are due to WiFi signal quality. The Smart Plug and Echo do NOT need to be on the same "120 volt section."

Answer:	You probably don't want this device to use 5 ghz wi-fi, which has a limited amount of signal channels. 2 ghz wi-fi has fewer channels, running at lower speeds, and is generally conjested with traffic from your neighbor's wifi. You won't, however, notice a difference in lag for a smart plug due it is only using about 1 kilobit per second over a connectionless protocol to activate or deactivate the plug. This plug, running on the 2 ghz wi-fi, means that there is one more channel available on the 5 ghz wi-fi for a device that really needs it, like a TV or a gaming console, which tend to transmit at around 25,000 kilobits per second each.

Another answer mentioned using a switch bot. Okay. So smart plug $10-$15 plus switch bot $20 ... Dude, just go buy a coffeemaker with a clock/timer. They've been around FOREVER and will both turn themselves on and brew your coffee for you and you don't even have to make a whole pot. You can get an entire coffee maker for like $25 then use your smart plugs for something else/something that doesn't already have the ability to turn itself on/ect. :)

All program and installer set up functions are saved on to a chip and retained in case of a power outage. It does utilize a super capacitor for short term retention of the clock. If there is a lengthy power outage and if the RTH6580WF is connected to the internet, when power is restored it will automatically resynchronize with the internet time.

It does not matter which of these two wires goes to RC and which goes to C. 3) Connect the wire that had gone to either RC or R on the old thermostat to the R connector on the new thermostat back panel. Connect the wire that had gone to W on the old thermostat to the W connector on the new thermostat back panel. 4) Plug in the transformer to a nearby 120 V outlet. Snap the body of the new thermostat onto its back panel. Continue with the instructions provided with the new thermostat.

How to connect with your phone?

Step 1:Download the APP,please scan the QR code on User Manual/Package to download it.

Step 2: Make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz. Turn on and off the bulb 3 times to switch the bulb to Easy Mode (Recommended).

Step 3: Click "+" to add device,select the Lighting(Wi-Fi) to connect.

Step 4: Select a wifi network and enter the password of the network.

Step5:Name your bulb with English word only

How to work with Alexa Echo?

Step 1: Tap "Skills" in the Alexa app, then search your APP.

Step 2: Choose and click "ENABLE" to enable the Skill.

Step 3: Come to the account link page. Type in your APP account and passwords, don't forget to select the right area.

Step 4: Click "Link Now" to link your APP account.

Step 5: Call Alexa voice control your named device

How to work with Google Home?

Step 1: Open the Google home APP,then search our APP in account manager.

Step 2: Come to the account link page. Input your APP account and passwords.

Warm tips for you:

1. If the indictor doesn't flashing when you plug in the Gosund smart plug for first connection, please hold a 5-10 seconds press on the button of your smart plug and see if it's start flashing.

2. If the smart device can't be connected to Wifi, please long press On/Off button for 5~10 seconds to reset the smart plug or change the easy mode to Ap mode which is more compatible.

3. The smart socket only works with 2.4 Ghz network. If your router broadcasts both 2.4 and 5 Ghz, please selected the 2.4 Ghz network with the app.

4. Please try to make your smart outlet and router as close as possible when first connection, you can change the place after connecting successfully.
