Answer:	Not sure, but I would not recommend it. My first one lasted about 18 years and I never had a problem with it. I am now into my second year with a new one and nothing has ever gone wrong. Its a very reliable pump and I can't think of a reason for an extended warranty.

Answer:	I was sent a pump with a broken pivot nut. Could not tighten lid. Lots of bubbles. Check filter gasket and the tightness of lid. If that is not it you have discovered an air leak in the suction side of pool. New pump higher suction could cause this.

Answer:	I have a 15' round, 54" deep above ground pool that I bought from a local pool store. They installed it s well. I was given a 1HP pump by Waterway. I never had any problem with sand being blown into the pool, and though there was some rotation in the pool, it was far from a whirlpool. It kept the leaves & debris in the center of the pool, which made it easier to clean. That was 6 years ago, & my Waterway just died. I just replaced it with this pump. It's supposed to be arriving Tuesday, so I can't comment on any differences. I can tell you that the pool company gave me a TWM 19 diameter sand filter, & it's been just fine for us. Answer:	Yes, you have to remove (4) long bolts from the back of the motor and then you can rotate the pump 90 degrees. I had to do this and it has worked well. The Hayward unit has worked well for me and is a good deal for the money.

Answer:	Wiring at the motor is not correct on the side is a diagram to reverse the rotation

Answer:	The connectors came with a pump I ordered. However, I did not like them. I used the regular screw in connectors.

Answer:	We have had that happen with the old pump (different brand) and the new one. We turn off the skimmer and let it pick up from main drain then turn back on. If that doesn't work, then we use the water hose to flood the lines and turn pump back on. Just our experience, we are not professionals. Good luck.

Answer:	I don't see any easy way without tearing it apart and "maybe" rotating the housing 90 degrees. I'm not sure if that will even work. If you have room, you can always use a 90 degree street elbow fitting right out of the discharge housing.

Answer:	There is a slide switch that you select 110 or 220 volt on the outside end of the motor. Remove the plastic cover by the two screws.

Answer:	I'm no expert but I did some research on this. You can go with a more powerful pump than your pools rated for, but there are consequences. For one it will stress your motor IF your pipes can't handle the increased flow. Also it will likely cost more in electricity than a weaker pump.

Answer:	Primarily, what you see, is the diameter of the motor housing. 56y is larger. You can get the same power capability out of either but whether the motor will mount to your pump properly is the question. And a 1 hp with a service factor (sf) of 1.25 is not the same as a 1 hp with a service factor of say 1.65. You need to multiply the hp by the service factor for each motor to get comparable ratings. 1hp x 1.25sf =1.25; 1hp x 1.65sf = 1.65, not the same. 1hp x 1.65sf = 1.65; 1.5hp x 1.1sf = 1.65, same.

Answer:	I am a Pool Pro, I personally have tried to install this very pump from XtremepowerUS. I was to be paid $75 for the install. Well it took me all day to install, and was called back in under a week because the pump stopped working. This thing was the WORST experience of my career! I WILL N E V E R ATTEMPT TO INSTALL ONE OF THESE $170 PUMPS EVER, E V E R AGAIN!
