Answer:	Yes, they are independent of each other
Question:	will this work with a regular transformer inside doorbell
Answer:	The 4 scene controls 4 scenes using 8 buttons (i.e. an on button and an off button for each scene). You can also increase and decrease brightness when controlling dimmers by pressing and holding the on and off buttons for increase and decrease respectively. The 8 scene allows the same, but for 8 scenes on 8 buttons, meaning that the same button that turns on a scene then turns off that scene with the subsequent press. It will also increase and decrease brightness by holding the button. I suggest the 8 scene (which is what I have) because it is more flexible, and can actually be programmed to operate exactly like a 4 scene now, and reprogrammed at a later date to operate as an 8 scene when your system expands. I also suggest going to insteon.com and reading the manual for each to get a better understanding of the functionality of the mini remotes.
Question:	Is this a “mechanical” doorbell? I can’t have wired
Answer:	Yes you can, but the way I do it is to create a scene that controls only a singles switch. This is especially useful for the plug in switches that can be used to control a lamp in an unswitched outlet.

Answer:	So, I just purchased one of these and I was stumped as to how to hook it up to a 3-way circuit. (More than one switch).I went online as the directions in the packaging say to do. (The directions that come in the box are only for a 1-way circuit, i.e. single switch).Online there is a document that lists all different ways that you can hook up a Caseta wireless dimmer and remote.However, they all show a dimmer that has more than 3 wires. The dimmer that came in the packaging only has 3 wires. Not 4 or 5 as illustrated in the online directions.The scenario I had was a 2-switch situation where one switch was a standard old-fashioned toggle switch, and the other toggle-switch was going to be replaced by this dimmer.But, the directions online show 4 wires (including the ground) on the dimmer that have to be hooked up to the circuit.Again, my dimmer only came with 2 black wires and a ground wire.So,... not sure how it works as a 3-way (2-switch) dimmer.

Answer:	The Caseta dimmer needs to be trimmed. Trimming is the process of adjusting the range of power that will be put out for a given circuit. Your new LED bulbs are very low power (say, 7 watts apiece) compared to the 60 watts that an incandescent household bulb would consume.To trim: make sure the lamps are on if applicable. Hold down both the ON and LOWER buttons on the main switch (not the remote) for 6 seconds, until the indicator LED starts flashing. Use the RAISE and LOWER buttons to adjust the dimness level on your bulbs until the flicker is gone. When you're happy, hold down the OFF button for 6 seconds to save that setting.You can adjust the upper trim (the maximum power to go to the bulbs) in a similar way by using the ON and RAISE buttons, but my experience so far is that the upper trim is okay on the dimmers I'm using.

Answer:	This is wired and flat on the back so it fits flush with our brick........it's the most beautiful doorbell in the subdivision!!!!

Answer:	I don't know. All I know is, I had a builder grade doorbell, and I purchased this one online. I turned off the breaker, unscrewed the builder grade doorbell and wiring and installed the new door bell using the original wiring. Quick, easy and worked like a charm.

Answer:	This is a push button for a door chime system. To complete the chime system, you will need to purchase the chime (sound mechanism) and transformer separately.

Answer:	No, there is no light. That’s a really good question. Now that I’ve read your question, I wish that I would have purchased a door bell that was lighted. Answer:	This is the main thing I don't like about Ring Pro, they have not bothered to make it work with live view for Windows 7. This tells me that like many companies they don't care or bother to make their products backward compatible. If you decided to upgrade to Windows 10 despite all negative pushy attempts to force it upon us by Microsoft, you are in the Live View club. If you choose to stick with Windows 7 and wait until Windows 10 OS issues are resolved before upgrading or buying a new system, your out of luck. Thanks, Ring! Answer:	1 light in the pack. SKU BT1W-20 has 20 pieces in the pack.
Question:	Is the button more clear than white? The one I received is definitely clear-colored and not white like advetised
Answer:	It does not have a sensor for nighttime. The light is constantly on. The soft glow is not noticeable in the daytime, but illuminates clearly in the dark. The LED uses such a tiny tiny amount of energy, this is not a consideration.

Answer:	Yes. And it is surface mount, not recessed.
Question:	x 3 x 6 inches? Really? and screws are 2 1/8 inches a part

Answer:	The model number for the satin nickel version is PB41LSN.
Question:	How do I disconnect the light? I like the doorbell, but don’t want the light
Answer:	I used this to replace only the button on my existing , unknown brand, doorbell. Very easy to rewire and install.
Question:	Does this button need a diode to hear entire chime melody
Answer:	The base plate and tension prongs are metal. The rest of it is plastic.
Question:	Will this button work on any nutone doorbell
Answer:	You are correct. While 120 is required to the transformer, the transformer is 16 V. We will try to get this corrected. Thank you.
