Answer:	I have this installed in my basement, so the temperature is quite moderate. However, the manual mentions that it is rated to work from 40F - 100F.
Question:	Can filter be installed on home main line outside replacing old salt softener
Answer:	We don't recommend that it be installed outside, however we have customer's that have successfully installed it outside but make sure that if you do it has some kine of structure around it to protect it from the elements. Yes it can replace the old salt softener.
Question:	how does this work with a Sprinkler system
Answer:	I would have the sprinkler system drawing its feed before the filter since the sprinkler water wouldn't need to be filtered making your filters last longer.
Question:	What is the reduction in water pressure after the installation
Answer:	I haven’t checked pressure drop but it does have a 10 GPM flow rate limit. We have not seen an adverse impact on the showers or other water faucets. We regulate water pressure to the house at 50 psi.

Question:	How is the mounting bracket used
Answer:	If you have copper pipes it may not be necessary. The bracket holds the unit up and it has two holes to allow the intake/outlet water lines. Basically to lessen the “sag” when unit is full of water.
Question:	How often do you replace filter
Answer:	There is no set period of time for filter replacement. It depends on the quality of the incoming water, how much water you use, and now fine (measured in microns) your filters are. I have an old well and for a year or so now it's been pumping up a lot of junk so I have to replace my filter about every two weeks. For a while, I had to replace them once a week but that's very unusual. If you're on city water, 3-6 months may be about right but, again, it depends on several factors. This is why it's a shame that this filter housing isn't clear like previous versions. I have to just my filters visually so I can't have an opaque housing. But my previous Watts whole house filter (like this one but with a clear cannister) failed when a bit of material from it broke free and lodged in an injector of my water softener so the water softener didn't work. But I still think this is a very good water filter so I'm ordering a new one. It still works but it leaks when I put it on bypass to change the filter. I'll just use the clear housing from my existing filter because they are reportedly the same other than the fact that the old one is clear and the new one is opaque white. I have no idea why Watts doesn't use clear housings anymore. With one, you can tell the condition of your filter just by glancing at the cannister. BOTTOM LINE: Nobody can tell you how often you have to change your filter. You have to find that out from experience.

Question:	The instruction manual states that the unit must be installed a minimum of 25 pipe feet away from the water heater, why is this
Answer:	The unit pumps the 'waste' water back into the hot water side of the plumbing system. That, itself, is not reason enough to require that the unit be 25' from the water heater. The water temperature would not matter nor would pressure. I don't have an answer. My unit was so poorly assembled that it never worked properly the entire time that I owned it prior to scrapping it for a different unit entirely. Several of my neighbors have had good luck with the identical unit that was properly manufactured.
Question:	Is it possible to buy the pump and connection for routing the waste water back into the household hot water -- alone? I already have a RO system
Answer:	I dont know if link changed but it now links to a booster pump (#560043) to increase overall system pressure. Which isn't what was asked. Question:	What is the capacity of the watts premier
Answer:	I used this unit for about six months and it never worked correctly. As I was dismantling it to throw it away, I discovered that the wiring was put together in a very sloppy way which was causing the operational issues. This RO system was very poorly built and I don't know the capacity because it was never fully working.
Question:	Why can't this be shipped to California
Answer:	I've owned mine since 2006 and its wonderful. However, in the past few years California began pumping Fluoride into our water (without voting on it) and this unit REMOVES most Fluoride. Therefore California banned this unit (without a vote on it). Note that Fluoride is a by-product from the manufacture of Aluminum! Therefore, what can be done with barrel after barrel of Fluoride? Why dump it into our water supply and increase the price of the water to pay for it (and of course the bribes back to the Legislature)! I'm glad I bought my Zero waste RO system before all this happened!

Answer:	The blinking red light on the faucet indicates that it is time to replace the filters. However, it does not monitor the quality of your water, it is just a timer that changes from a Blue light to a Red light approximately every 6 months.

Answer:	Sorry, I did not measure the length of the probe. The new valve was the exact same make and model of the leaking valve I replaced. My water heater is a 50 gallon unit, the length of the probe would not have been an issue. The valve was a bargain compared to other sources.

Answer:	The T&P valves for home water heaters are standard in most ways. They have 3/4" threads for the inlet and outlet and 150 psi pressure relief setting. The only difference is the length of the stem. The stem is the portion of the valve with the male (external) threads. Some have almost no distance from the threads to the body of the valve and some have up to a couple of inches. Look at the one on you unit and buy one with a similar stem length. A little too long is OK. Too shot can be a problem.

Answer:	That's what I'm using it for; I've mounted it so that the vent pipe points downward, but I don't see any evidence that it's ever vented anything. My guess is that if a backflow event happened, the flow would divert through the vent, as opposed to back into the water supply. Mine's mounted horizontally about 18" above the sprinkler valves.

Question:	Is this suitable for plugging several outdoors Christmas light strings
Answer:	yes, as long as you don't exceed the maximum total wattage of 1875. This also assumes you are NOT plugging it into a smaller gauge extension cord (i.e. 14 or 16 gauge) - then the limits of that smaller cord apply. Also the connection is NOT waterproof so you'd need to protect it from water.
Question:	Will this take polarized male plugs-the ones with one prong larger than the other? i just bought a us wire triple that doesn't take polarized
Answer:	Yes, this can take polarized plugs.
Question:	For outdoor Christmas lights...can plug this into my timer and plug in 3 additional lights/decorations? Im trying to get my outlets in my timer
Answer:	I can't think of any reason why that would not be OK, as long as your timer will accept the 3-prong end. Possibly the cord is heavy or stiff enough to require some creative support to prevent gravity from pulling the connections apart (depending on what sort of timer you have and how tight the connections are).
Question:	Can I use this with a space heater? I am considering the 2' 12 gauge option. want to use while sleeping
Answer:	I do not recommend 12 gauge for any heating appliance. I bought 3/10 cord as sole electrical for my cabin. I'm living in it while building so use the 100 ft, 3 outlet 3/10, power cord to support my freezer, fridge, and an electric heater, convection oven, or toaster depending on my need. A 12 have power cord could over heat and cause a fire.

Answer:	I'm not using it for 220 line. It sounds to me like too much current is passing through from your 110 volt output on your generator to the air conditioner. I would get a 220 volt extension like you would use for the dryer. I use this cord to run lighting, refrigerator, and gas furnace motors. But not all at the same time.
Question:	Would this work for my washing machine my plug is too far away
Answer:	I think it could, but you'll have to check the wattage it supports & the wattage your washing machine needs. There are 3 plugs that light on this extension cord, you might have to plug the other 2 plugs that are open. You might also want to contact the company that makes this extension cord to be absolutely certain it can be used for what you need it for.
Question:	I need a good all around outdoor extension cord but mainly need for both 2k or my 4k generator 4 my 21' travel trailer w/air, ref. etc will it work
Answer:	First off I would strongly recommend that you use only a 12 AWG extension for your trailer. If it is a long extension, say 100 feet or more, I would recommend that you go to a 10 AWG. The reason that you need a heavy gauge extension for your RV is that if you are running an air conditioner the start up current is quite high and the voltage drop on a smaller gauge cord will not allow the A/C to even start as well as not allow the A/C to run efficiently.
