Answer:	Since I wear a 32 waist, I purchased this bike short in Large. I'm 5-8, lean and 155-160 pounds, and the Large fits adequately, though not ideally. Waist-wise, it's an accurate fit for me, but I have skater's thighs, so the elastic at the bottom of the short digs into me more than I'd like, and leaves a ring on my leg after a 2-hour mountain bike session. (I'm not a pro mountain biker, so maybe such snugness is normal. I find it uncomfortable). If you say you're a stocky 5-3, this might be an in-between fit for you; XL might be your best bet, but you risk the leg being quite long if you're not very tall. It seems this is designed for tall people, which I am not. I do like the design and quality of the item, I will say.

Answer:	Surge suppressors aren't good to daisy chain but if the extensions are just simple power strips with no interrupting suppressor, and you know the current load will be lower than 15A (even under heaviest load), then it's safe.

One woman mentions that her package states AWG 16, which is 16 gauge wire, so check your package if you buy it for wire gauge and watts. The watt rating depends on the type of wire, gauge of the wire, and voltage. For example, 12 gauge solid copper wire will usually allows at least 20 amps at 110 volts, so that is 2200 watts. 16 gauge solid copper wire will usually allow at least 10 amps at 110 volts, so that is 1100watts.

Answer:	You definitely want to use the "X"s when you build this shelving unit. It would otherwise be too flimsy to hold much of anything. Even with the "X"s attached you don't want to store anything too heavy on it. I use mine to display four queen-size quilts.
