Answer:	I assume that it must be a gas range as electric ranges are high current 220 volt devices with big heavy cords with a completely different plug. The 120 volts going to the gas range are just for the ignition, timer, display oven light and a fan if you have convection. This will easily handle the load but somebody brought up a valid point about heat. Cords on heat producing devices like stoves,toaster ovens, waffle makers, hair dryers, clothes irons, etc. use a cord type called HPN. It is rated at 105 degrees C. I just checked and you can get an HPN extension cord but it will be longer than one ft. Ace Hardware shows one. SVT cord, like this one, has rope inside to strengthen the cord for a lot of bending. It is typically found on vacuum cleaners.

Answer:	All the answers are wrong, the product description for this says he can handle 13 amps, not 15 amps. So, about 1500 watts.

Answer:	This cord should handle up to a 1,500 (1,495) Watt load. I just checked wattage for an LG 8k BTU energy star compliant unit that says it draws 700 Watts. So unless something is drastically wrong with your A/C unit, I can't imagine it would pull even 700 Watts with only 5/8th the cooling capacity of that LG unit. Any problems you might encounter wouldn't be due to an extra 3 ft. of power cord run with this cord, unless it's plugged into a much longer cord or equal or lesser capacity and is therefore not plugged directly into the wall.
