While any sort of weight reduction is a good thing (when still rated for the same load), don't let this weight reduction fool you into thinking the original model is overly heavy. I have the 22' model, and I find it easy to move around. The quad locks are debatably useful, as I have never felt my 2 pin design was unstable or even the least bit wobbly. The redesigned release locks do sound nice however, as the original ones take a little getting used to. |

| Answer: | I really don't know anything about the other ladders you checked but I can say that the Xtend & Climb 770P is a really a good ladder. It is expensive and I actually bought it when it was on a special price so I can't say whether it's worth the extra dollars in comparison to the others. It is lightweight, extends easily, sturdy, and has a stable base. However, it requires care when collapsing as you can easily get the soft flesh between your thumb and index finger pinched when the rungs drop (and this hurts believe me!). Otherwise I highly recommend this ladder. |
