If all you are trying to do is see in your boat, this might work, but I still wouldn't recommend it due to it's light duty, mostly plastic, construction. I don't think it would stand up to "hard use."

Answer:	Yes, excellent range. I would estimate about 85 degree range of motion. So it shines straight out 90 degree angle from vertical and can be rotated almost completely to the vertical shining straight up.

Answer:	The light is great will cover any area in a garage but having halogen bulb it get extremely HOT. I think I should have went with a Led light.

Answer:	no idea threw mine in the junk pile
Question:	Does this use Lithium-Ion or NiMH battery? Why does the spec say "2 AA batteries required
Answer:	i removed the battery and the label reads li-ion 7.4 v 1300 mah

Answer:	It is a battery pack. We don't sell them but if you go to a battery specialty store with the battery pack they should be able to get it for you.
Question:	For the Guys-Gift for my husband & can't decide to go LED or Halogen. Just needs for outside at night, cleaning yard, working on shed, etc
Answer:	The LED light is more shock resistant, never gets hot and uses a lot less energy. For yard work, you might consider getting a pair, mounted on a folding, extendable tripod mount. That's how I use mine most of the time. Now that I've use these, I'll never go back to halogen again. Hopes this helps you decide.
