1. Measure the gap of window;

2. Clean the surface where you intent to install the tape, keep it dry, clean and smooth;

3. Decide the length of tape based on the window side and cut it to your need;

4. Teer off one end of the tape;

5. Stick the tape to the window gap and press it firmly as you stick it;

6. Teer off the tape progressively as you stick it;

7. Make double check and press the tape firmly. After 24 hours, the tape could form a solid bond.



The best installation conditions could be between 10℃ ~ 35℃ (50℉~95℉). When it is too cold, the tape would become too rigid to stick so please blow the tape and warm it up with hair drier before you do the installation in winter.

Answer:	If you can make it work from the inside of the house it should. I have it on the inside of my sliding door where it comes to a pet door insert. I don’t know how well it will hold up to direct weather exposure

Yes I think it works just when your putting it around remember you have to open and close the door so it goes on the opposite edge. Answer:	Yes, but temperature don't too high, or it's going to affect its viscosity, you can make it hot when you stick it for installation, working in cold temps is better.

Answer:	I have the same situation. The only way I can see is to attach the adhesive side to the sliding post allowing the other side of the strip to meet the stationary glass. The top and bottom could be difficult to cut, so I have not tried this yet. Anyone have better ideas ?

Answer:	I had issues with it sticking to a painted basement door. It stayed on for about a week and then I noticed that it was coming off. I just ended up attaching it with small tacks . I also used on my metal exterior doors and it worked great. It is very sturdy and works amazingly at keeping out the draft. Hope it works better for you on the painted door.

Answer:	I put on the side so that when door is open, you don’t see it. But I used on interior doors.. On exterior door I’d put on inside so when you open the door it won’t constant get bent.

Answer:	It could. It's a very strong 3M adhesive. I don't plan on removing mine until it comes off by itself. The wind blows directly towards my door and the strip really cuts out any cold that sneaks around the seal.

Answer:	Not sure a temperature minimum is noted. However, I will say that in the North American climate range, no matter the region, I would say the ideal application is within the 30°-80° range.

Question:	Is there any way to remove it without damage
Answer:	I believe that will depend upon the surface on which you have installed it. A spray-painted metal door will probably be more resistant to paint damage than brush-on applications. I had to reposition mine once or twice within a few minutes of the original installation, and did so without damage by having a warmed area, and pulling slowly and steadily from. the edge. All that said, I don't think it was really designed for easy removal after time. Good luck!

Answer:	No. When you apply it make sure you clear the floor. If not it will rub against the floor and weaken the seal over time.

Answer:	It did for me....prevented wind and debris from blowing in around my basement door.
Question:	My exterior door opens IN and there is carpet on the landing. Will this work or will it get hung up
Answer:	You determine what level you attach the draft stopper at so it won’t get hung up. Just make sure you put it at appropriate height. My door opens in over hard wood floors, but I have a rug there and I am fine.

Question:	Is there a v-strip that folds in half? My exterior door has an uneven gap that I need to fill
Answer:	The strip comes with a strip of tape on one side that you stick to the door. Just be sure to get wide enough tape to cover whatever gap you have. This works so well we have been very happy with it. Our door had uneven gaps as well.
Question:	I’m not understanding the width selection. You go from inches to millimeters. How should I choose the width
Answer:	According to the gap in the door or window: A 0-15mm gap is recommended to select a 25mm width seal; a 0-20mm gap is recommended to select a 35mm width seal; a 0-30mm gap is recommended to select a 45mm width seal.

Answer:	It's not v-strip weatherstripping. Our weatherstrip is attached to the door, not fold at the crease to place in the crack of a door.

Question:	Can this product seal all around the door
Answer:	I didn't have success on the left side of my front door because I didn't buy the very wide tape strip and the strip folded itself between the door and the door frame when I opened my door - but only on the left side where the hinges are. So, in my opinion, it only works on 3 sides (top, bottom, and right side). I am going to try a different black foam strip with tape backing for the inside between the door and the frame for the left side only.
