Answer:	You need to order one that comes with the weather strip if you do not already have one on your door.

Question:	How do you measure the T-channel? Is it the width of each small channel or is it the center distance between or is it the total distance
Answer:	The distance between the centers of both T tracks. The strip fits most common doors. Takes 2 people to install with soapy water spray.
Question:	How is it installed
Answer:	Look at your old weather strip. It should have the same molded “T” on both sides of the weather strip running the entire length of the strip. These Ts slide in two tracks that run the entire length of the garage door. You simply slide the old one out and slide the new one in. You will probably need two people to be able to slide it the whole length of the door. It just makes it easier. There may be a screw or some means at both ends to keep it from sliding back and forth after it is installed. If there is something there, just remove it to slide the old one out and replace it once the new one is installed. The new one should be longer than what you need. Just trim it to fit once installed. Some people trim it to leave a little extra on either side, just so long as it doesn’t interfere with the garage door opening and closing.

Answer:	The knife is serrated, and very sharp. I have not yet had to sharpen the blades, as they have remained sharp over time. Nonetheless, the serrations are very minor, and I would expect that they could be sharpened with a standard sharpener without harming the blade.

Answer:	The ad says it is 1/2" and that is exactly what the product delivered was measured to be. I used one tube of readily available "PL-Premium" adhesive which holds very well.

Answer:	Yes it does stay in place without glue, as it lays flat when un-rolled and it is heavy duty enough to not move unless physically moved. I use it under my 2-car garage door and it stays in place just fine with the regular opening and closing of the door. I bought it primarily for sealing out the wind, dust, etc., and it does that perfectly. However, I do not drive the cars out very often, which could cause movement (they are collector cars), but so far, no issue.

Answer:	It is longer than 10 ft. Mine I needed to cut about 6 inches to tight fit on 10 ft. Garage opening.

Question:	Do you need to use sealer
Answer:	This seal is not big enough to bridge a gap that big - it won't handle much more than 1/2". I bought a different seal - Garage Door Parts Clopay T-end Bottom Rubber Seal - 4 1/2"x20' - and used it with the same track in this kit. It can probably handle up to 2". My garage door has a gap of 1 1/4" either end (of a 16ft door) and it seals really nicely.
Question:	For those who used liquid nails construction adhesive to put it down, how long before you could drive your car over it into the garage
Answer:	No. There are no pre-drilled holes in the aluminum.
Question:	Is it solid rubber, or is it hollow inside
Answer:	It is not thin or cheap and it does compress as you would expect; it does bounce back. I have a slightly sloped floor (or door) and the rubber completely compresses on one side and not so much on the side that is a bit (1/4') lower. Performs well.
Question:	Can you apply this to a garage floor that has epoxy on it
Answer:	it comes in (4) 4-1/2 ft. long pieces... my door is only 16 wide so I cut them down to 4 ft each (soft aluminum... used a hacksaw) and deburred the edges with a sanding block... as long as you line them up when attaching them, the appearance is seamless and there were no issues pushing the gasket on (with a helper is easier... one person feeds one end and the other person glides the leading edge across).

Answer:	It all depends on how well the epoxy paint was applied. The self sticking tape will work very well if you clean the floor thoroughly before applying the stop block. It can start moving if the car constantly hits it forcefully instead of gently easing up to it. I ended up drilling holes and bolting it down after a few years of reapplying double stick carpet tape.

STEP 1

Clean the track,Scrape dirt and corrosion out of the garage door bottom seal track with a screwdriver and a stiff brush.

STEP 2

Fasten a new garage door bottom seal to a wood garage door.Push the track into wet caulk and tight against the door bottom. Clamp it into place. screws.

STEP 3

Install the new seal,Lubricate the rubber with a few drops of dish soap, then push and pull the new garage door bottom seal into the track.

STEP 4
