As noted in the instructions, to get to continous air flow, you just keep clicking the button through the modes (first you click throught the various thermostat temperatures, and then you get to "high" or "low" as options. If you click high or low either one will stay on continously. Both options are extremely quiet. It sounds like the person who had a louid nose on the low setting had a defective fan. |

That being said you could use this fan on Exhaust to suck hot air out and use a tower fan to create a breeze in the room. But to cool a room on a 90+ degree day, I’d recommend a window AC. This fan will circulate air tho, so it’s not a bad place to start. |

No one can possibly reach through (they would have to remove the screen first), and you cannot remove it without destroying the fan and making a lot of noise (I cut a round dowel to keep the window closed tight against the fan). |

Perhaps you can angle it in one side first then square it up, but I doubt it since your depth is so shallow. If you are desperate to get a fan to fit, you could cut away 1/2" of the main housing on each side with a hacksaw. I hope this helps. |
