Answer:	I don't know as I do not live in high altitude area. This pot has four level of water temperate control so you can set the temperate to 208F or lower after the water is boiling. You can find out in the web the water boiling point at different altitude. I believe 208F is below the boiling point in most of the high altitude area. If not, set the temperate to a level lower.
Question:	can you pour hot water in the unit and set the temp to maintain a temp such as
Answer:	Yes, you can pour hot water in the pot and set the temperature at 190 degree. If the water is hotter than 190 degree, it will take some time to cool off the water, but the water will be at 190 degree after a while.

Answer:	I disassembled my unit. There was no insulation material. Just air between the inner metal and the outside plastic.
Question:	How many people have encountered rusting issues with this
Answer:	I have rusting issues with this Panasonic hot pot after less than 6 months usage. Its custom service refused to do replacement. Never buy any Panasonic products again!

Answer:	Yes you can,As long as the unit does not have a night feature.you will also have to wire (If the unit has regular light) the light,exhaust fan and heater together for the timer switch(Which means you have no control over the heater being off if you don't need it)unless the timer switch has an additional switches.
Question:	from what I see on their scetch they are running a dedicated 20 12 ga for the heater and a and a 14 ga15 amp for the fan and motor,is this necessary
Answer:	Yes. The heater needs its own circuit 20amp. The fan/light can pull from other 15 amp circuit and do not necessarily need their own circuit.. You can use 12 ga wire for 15 am also.
Question:	Has anyone tried combining both the light and fan on one function switch and did it work out alright? I prefer to always run the fan when the light is on
Answer:	First, I would ask my electrician. We have ours to control a fan, heating and light unit. The switch operates heat, bent and light in that order. It's easy enough to turn both on and off at the same time.

Answer:	one button toggles to 3 points, 2 on and the center is off. I use one direction for a night light and the other for the regular lights. The other 2 switches I use for the fan and heater. That totals 4 functions

The 810vss1 on the other hand has Multi-Speed Control where the 510vs1 does not; from the sell sheet: Multi-Speed for ASHRAE 62.2 Compliance allows you to select the proper CFM settings to satisfy ASHRAE 62.2 continuous ventilation requirements. The fan runs continuously at a preset lower level (0, 30-70, in 10 CFM increments), then elevates to a maximum level of operation (80 or 100 CFM) when the wall switch is turned on.

Answer:	No, it is a replacement grille/light only.
Question:	Does it have to be hardwired or can it be plugged into a nearby outlet
Answer:	I unfortunately bought three of these units. The light is extremely bright and glaring. Totally unacceptable! I have ordered light filters that are said to be able to dim the light as well as lower the light temperature from 3000K down to somewhere near an acceptable 2700K. Of course, I’m shelling out more money for a fix that should have been caught in the product design process.

Question:	Just installed. does anyone experience an 8 second delay before the fan starts and slow getting up to speed? not quiet. should i exchange
Answer:	It’s probably your switch, rather than the fan. No delay on mine. Yes, they are not as quiet as advertised. It’s not loud, but way above a “whisper.” The smaller version may be much quieter, but wasn’t large enough for my needs.
Question:	What does the "DC" mean
Answer:	DC stands for direct current. That's what makes the fan so quiet. One thing to note, since the fan is DC, there is a ten second delay before the fan actually come on. It works great though.
Question:	My install will be a retrofit. Can this be installed with no attic access
Answer:	Per Panasonic, if you already have a fan installed and a switch in the wall to turn that fan on and off, this will help with the install. This model does have the Flex-Z-Fast bracket to assist with install without accessing the attic. Depending on the size of the unit you are removing, you may need to cut a larger hole in the ceiling. The base of the fan is 10-1/4“ x 10-1/4”. Keep in mind, this model takes 6” duct, so depending what size duct the previous fan had, you may need to install 6” ducting to use this fan. The included installation manual will help provide further instructions for retrofit installations.
Question:	Can this fan be used for replacement vs new construction
Answer:	I purchased this fan to replace an existing fan and I found the installation could have been a simple retrofit, but this model requires 6” ducting for proper operations. I made this ducting a part of my replacement as the previous fan was not properly installed. I will be purchasing a few more of these fans to install along with the appropriate duct and wall cap products. The fan includes an easy-to-install “Flex-z” bracket that makes this potentially a simple retrofit. The hole for the box is specked to be 10.5” square for “new” construction or 10 7/8” for replacement. I cut the hole for 10 7/8” and feel I could have made it the 10.5 “ size and still have made this retrofit work.

Question:	Can the led light be replaced? what type base is it
Answer:	The tread dimensions are 12 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Question:	Could this be built in over a stove for ventilation? Does it come with the multi-speed switch
Answer:	It cannot easily be setup to come down from the top. Door opens easily enough but the latter movement is almost impossible to extend. It’s not impossible but a special tool would have to be made.
Question:	Does the fan have a timer built in without using the always-on module? I want to run for a set amount of time without always being on

Question:	is this fan meant to be installed on single floor bathrooms? i'd like to install one on the bottom floor of a two story house
Answer:	No problem as long as your exhaust vent tubing reaches an outside source.
Question:	I want to mount this in the bedroom to remove cigarette smoke is this one okay or do i need something different
Answer:	Yes, this would be an effective way to do that. 290 CFM is much, much higher than your standard bathroom fan so you can move a lot of air. I have one of these, although for a different purpose, and it's very quiet for the air volume it moves. Just be sure to have some way of getting air into that room while you use it, through an open window or under a door. It has to pull the new air in from somewhere as it pulls the smokey air out.
Question:	What are the grill dimension? Thank you . Is it 4in or 6in duck work
Answer:	The grille dimension is 12.5" square. A 4" flexible duct from the fan was used.
Question:	Can this be used in a kitchen
Answer:	Bull on some of the answers to this question. It can definitely be used in a kitchen! You should not mount it directly over a stove though! But using it to exhaust the room of smoke as an example is fine. You would have to be cooking with grease all of the time like a restaurant for any build up that would cause a problem. I have used fans like this in kitchens for many years without any problems. Panasonic is going to say it is not a kitchen fan for one because they do not want to get in trouble when you mount it right above your cook top. OK to mount in a kitchen to clear the smoke from the occasion burnt toast or popcorn or bad smell of some cooked foods. NOT OK to mount directly above a stove.
