Question:	Can this fan be used as a dryer vent booster
Answer:	I would not recommend putting any fan in a dryer vent. Dryers don't catch all the lint and the rest blows out the vent. That lint is often somewhat sticky, particularly when fabric softener is used. A fan would create a place for all that lint to stick and it would quickly become covered. If you attempt it, make sure you can easily remove the fan for cleaning. Also it might be a fire hazard as the motor might expect a certain amount of air flow for cooling and the lint could plug that up causing it to over heat. The lint would then be excellent tinder. Ideally for your application a boost fan would not provide an obstruction to the air flow and would work on the venturi effect. Basically injecting high speed air at the edges to speed up the larger volume of flow in the middle. I don't think anyone makes such a fan however. The only example I can think of is the fan make by Dyson and sold as "bladeless" though it really has blades in the base. It is designed for another purpose however and cannot be used in your duct. I presume this is a gas dryer. Due to the hazards of it not venting properly, the best thing to do is probably to find a way to cut an exit hole closer to the dryer and use a shorter vent pipe. Electric dryers can be vented indoors thru a filter box that catches any remaining lint. That will increase the indoor humidity though.

Answer:	I am using this for a radon fan. The radon numbers were in the 60s before the fan. After installing it, we have dropped down to 2-7 range. I'm going to add a second one and forgot get the binders to the same area of 0-2.

Answer:	Hi Nikki!Thank you for your inquiry.We usually do not recommend bringing out door air directly into the house, it has to be conditioned first and its often better to just recirculate air. Depending on the amount of airflow you were looking for, that would be the determining factor. These units move quite a bit of volume of airflow and are primarily used in filtering or moving air from room to room. You would have absolutely no problems operating this unit in a room-to-room or exhaust fashion! Answer:	To help alleviate confusion, wanted to chime in here to say the answer posted to this question is outdated from an OLD model. This product has had two improvements since... one is that the fan is now running on a 24v motor, and the CFM is now measured at 205 (improved from a 12v motor at 152cfm). As for noise, I don't think the decibel rating has changed as it is still quiet. The second improvement is much more recent (Decemenr 2018) and was made to the controller unit which now includes humidity control as well as temperature.

Answer:	I just tried it because of your question, yes it does, but I think you're asking about a timer situation, I would say that you shouldn't bother with a timer, the reason to get this fan over others is the programmability, this thing self adjusts its own speed based on the high/low temp and the high/low humidity that you enter, the power used to run it is very small.

Answer:	You can, however, with just 200 CFM of air movement you may want to just keep it on full. The motor will make more humming noise if you use a speed controller to decrease speed. I found it makes less noise on full than it does if you decrease the speed which increases motor hum noise considerably.

One of my fans tilts maybe 45 degrees. Another fan will only tilt 15 degrees. I don't know what the manufacture tilt is supposed to be. Answer:	Yes - If the 16ft standard line sets aren't long enough for where you plan to install your inside units, Senville will replace them with whatever length you need for an additional cost. 16ft was enough for one of my inside units, but I needed 35ft for the second one & 50ft for the third one. They only send 14/4 communication wire with the 16ft line sets so I bought 100ft from a big box home improvement store that sells DIY mini-splits. Worked perfectly. Just make sure the total length of your lines sets doesn't exceed the maximum length for the unit & that the vertical "drop" from the highest inside unit to the location on the ground where the outside unit will be sitting doesn't exceed the maximum either. In the U.S., outside units are charged with enough R410A Freon for a 25ft line set for each inside unit. The total length of my 3 line sets was 101ft (16+35+50) & my outside unit was charged for 75ft (25x3), so I needed to add R410A for an additional 26ft (101-75) - which was approximately 1/2lb. The amount of additional R410A you need to add for each additional foot can be found in the installation manual for the outside unit you buy. You can buy small cans of R410A made for "topping off" new systems when situations like this arise on eBay.

I McGrubered the crap out of my set up....probably an easier way than duct tape, lift hooks, bungees, and adding weight to the back of the filter by another hanging object I have to ensure to does not come apart. So far, working...also, have to duct tape with hose to the fan...that brace did not stay in place.

Answer:	Morning RS, the S4 will not remember your fan speed. It’s a manual setting only. I also have a T4 with a smart controller and it does remember and can be set to auto for heat and humidity. The T4 is for auto exhaust and S4 is intake. If it is your only fan go with the T4. Also, if you have more than 200sf to ventilate go directly to the T6. The are very quiet which is important as my room is under a bedroom. Hope this helps.

Question:	How well does this work with a carbon filter
Answer:	I have a 350 Cfm Coco/Carbon Fiber filter that I place on the Exit side of my application. I have tested the filter on both the intake and the exit. I found these units Push much better than they Pull. I do have to increase the power by 10% when I install the exit filter, but it's not really an issue in my application.

Answer:	You may need to contact the manufacturer to see if you can have them send out extra mounting brackets as we are unable to source these parts. You may also be able to get something from your local hardware store that could work.

Answer:	No, you cannot safely mount a higher velocity oscillating fan with zip ties. What I did was get a 1x4 board cut to approximately 4' tall. I have a 4'x8' grow tent. I ordered Ancor Marine Grade Electrical Stainless Steel Cushion Clamps from Amazon. I mounted the board on top of the tent poles in the center placing the board flat against the pole junction. I place 2 brackets aroind the tent pole on top of the horizontal pole on the floor to stop any torsion from the oscillation and evenly space the remaining brackets along the side of the verticle pole. The rubber absorbs vibration so it doesn't rattle. Placing it on the center of the tent in lieu of the corner of the tent allows for the fan to get full 90°oscillation.

If you would like to flip the fan from exhaust to intake (where the air from the fan is being sucked into the front of the plate), then you would need to follow these instructions for flipping that fan unit (see below): 1. Remove the screws on the front face plate. 2. Remove the screws on the fan cover 3. Place all addition pieces off to the side 4. Flip the fans 180 degrees 5. Re-install the guards 6. Re-install the front face plate 7. Re-install the fan cover located on the back As for the wiring of the fan unit, this is not designed to be rewired to make the fans spin any other direction. Answer:	I am cooling two 600 W HPS lamps with a single fan and it works well

Answer:	If you use it to move air into the stove pipe from an outside source, the fan can be outside with a duct that enters the stove pipe midway. This would act like a venturi to force air upward. Think about adding a 45 degree t to your pipe and using this fane to draw cold air from outside and forcing it upwards in the pipe. You don't waste warm air and you get a really stoked fire.
Question:	Can you hook up a speed control to this booster
Answer:	You can hook up a speed control but it does not work very good and was not designed for one. When you start cutting down the power, the fan struggles and eventually stops leaving a loud humming or buzzing sound which does not sound good for the fan and may pose a fire hazard. If you want a variable controlled fan, just buy a fan that has variable control. I made the mistake of buying variable control with this fan. I ended up buying another fan that I could use this variable control on and it is more powerful and much quieter.
