The TOPGREENER TDOS5-JD Motion Sensor Switch is a dual load sensor switch that can control two fixtures simultaneously. This is ideal for controlling a light and fan, but the device can also be used in other dual load applications. An easy replacement for any indoor wall switch, this sensor can automate a light and fan simultaneously based on the motion detected in a room. The programming controls are located under the face cover of the device, and include a sensor range dial, a time delay dial, and a switch that changes between modes. This motion sensor switch features 3 modes: Dual Occupancy (OCCD), Single Occupancy (OCCS), and Dual Vacancy (VACD). In the default, OCCD mode, both connected loads will be automatically turned ON when you enter a room and automatically turned OFF when the room is vacant. OCCS mode operates similarly, but it only applies the feature to the primary load. Alternatively, VACD mode requires both loads to be turned ON manually, but they will shut OFF automatically after the room is vacant for a preselected amount of time. This time delay can be easily adjusted from 15 seconds up to 30 minutes. Both loads can also be turned ON/OFF manually with the press buttons on the face of the switch. Answer:	Rhoda, I had these in my old house on a door with a glass panel. The rods were white but the hardware was chrome-like. I hated that the hardware showed up as much as it did. I ended up spray painting the brackets white to match the door and it really did help. They didn't show up as much.

Question:	I have HP envy 15.6" will this fit perfectly or will hang out
Answer:	Your 15.6" HP should fit fine. I have a 17" and it hangs over a little but it's not awkward or unbalanced. I really like this Thermaltake because it measures the temperature in four quadrants of your notebook. I never realized how hot it was getting under there. It does sit rather high up, so your notebook will be elevated (just measured it -- not quite 2") but I got used to it pretty quickly. It doesn't turn automatically when the computer boots up like my last cooling fan bed did, but that's the only draw back. Just remember to turn it on. I have the fans constantly on. Very quiet too.

Question:	Can this be operated with just a single-pole light switch? Or does it require multiple switches
Answer:	Yes, one switch is fine. I have two installed. First floor bathroom is controlled by one switch -it controls everything (so low speed fan and light come on together and humidity will kick in a higher speed only when switch is on). The upstairs bath (used more for showering) has 2 switches, so a separate light (able to dim it) and fan function switch, but again humidity function only works if fan is on (I set to low speed default). I guess to use all 3 functions separately it should have 3 switches, but I installed with pre-existing wiring and wasn’t paying to upgrade my wiring. I used what we had and yes, it functions fine for me. Personally I love them, they are super quiet and work awesome!!!
Question:	I don't have access to the attic. Can this be installed from below
Answer:	No, it cannot. This fan is designed for new construction, to be installed before the drywall is put up. Certain features of the housing make this unsuitable for retrofit. For example: The exhaust duct outlet is installed external to the housing. You really need attic access to connect the exhaust outlet. Otherwise you'll have to fish it by hand from below through a roughly 5" x 5" opening after the housing is installed and blindly guide it back into its brackets. The hanger bar brackets (external) and the exhaust outlet brackets are as wide as the face flange. So you'll need to cut a hole as large or larger than the face flange then caulk/great stuff to seal the gap. The joist mounting bracket are very strong and cannot be bent by hand. You"ll have to cut them off and then drill new mounting holes inside the housing. There are other fans available that are much better for retrofit applications.
Question:	Is this rated for use over a shower if on a GFCI circuit

This is a known issue by Delta, and they are working to design a timer for the unit. The fan amperage is so low that the a switch does not recognize the draw. The fan just cycles and never gets up to speed. The fan is also a bit louder than I anticipated. Nothing I can't live with, but a bit noisier than I thought it would be. The LED light on the unit is great! We are very happy with the warm light that is puts out.
Question:	I installed the 80cf with led (no humidity sensor). when turning it on it starts slow and then takes 5ish seconds to reach full speed. is that normal

It even works in fan applications. This has an adjustable timeout for each circuit (1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes), so you can control how long the lights stay on after you leave the room. This sensor features XCT Sensing Technology which detects fines motion, such as typing at a desk or reading, ensuring lights do not turn off inadvertently. Equipped with ambient light detection, you can customize your sensor to detect daylight so lights don't turn on with enough natural light in your room. Question:	Can this be used for lights and an air conditioning unit
Answer:	No. The TDOS5-JD requires a ground wire to operate properly.
Question:	Could each switch be used for light and programmed separately
Answer:	I really doubt it. They would draw a lot more current than this switch could handle. How many watts does the heater draw? This switch is only rated at 800 watts. If you heater and fan wattage combination are greater than 800 watts you can't use this switch.
Question:	Can you use this in a bedroom? if worried that the sensor would keep the light on all night
Answer:	It is always recommended to have a experienced electrician help with installation, but installation of the TDOS5-JD is easy and straight forward that anyone with some electrical knowledge can accomplish.
