Answer:	Yes. This unit can be connected to an electronic variable speed control, a timer switch, or an on/off switch.
Question:	I have a Nautilus mdl N671 will mdl n688 install in same housing
Answer:	I ordered the 671 to replace an old Nautilus N688-H. The motor fit nicely into the existing housing. The tabs even fit in the housing slots. Plug and discharge orientations were identical to the old housing. Based on this single experience. I would assume a 688 fan would fit in a 671 housing - - - but I cannot verify.
Question:	Can u replace a nautilus n721 with this
Answer:	Look at the size of the base on the Braun...then look at the opening in the ceiling...if it will fit in that part is OK. Next look at the size of the plastic grill cover on the Braun. If it will cover the hole in the ceiling (the sheetrock hole) then that is OK too.You can find the sizes in the specs of the Braun on Amazon.Be aware that replacing these ceiling fans is something of a project...not for a first time do it yourselfer...on the other hand if you are handy and have a tool or two you can do it.

Question:	Has anybody installed this unit in a pre-existing fan space? if so how easy was it to install and did you have to modify the ceiling very much
Answer:	I replaced this fan and air king 50 in my 20 years old appartment bathrooms.Previous fan had same installation braket. Hardest part were remove old one and not damage ceiling, because this braket works only one way in. To get it out you I had to brake old fan case. And another hard part is slide new fan case in opening with exaust pipe in. You have to play with it. It ll be easy if you remove motor and fan blades before installation and after you attached exaust hose check louver inside if it is able to open and close.
Question:	Does this come with everything you need? I am replacing another fan, but am not sure if 3" or 4" ducting was used. I know it is louder with
Answer:	Yes. The fan comes with all you need (bracket, fan, instalation screws and electrical caps to co nect wires) , but I used old caps and screws. I have 2 fans one cfm 70 in one bathroom and cfm 50 in another one. Both have 4" housing diameter. In one bathroom I had 5 " pipe and I ducttaped it to connected fan and pipe. Both fans are really quiet. Some time is really hard to notice that they work.
Question:	Can the fan be wall mounted
Answer:	It could be mounted inside a 2"x6" wall. The fan will not fit in most walls, which are 2"x4" studs. I replaced an Air King 50-CFM fan that was wall mounted, even though I moved the fan to the ceiling. I find the ceiling installation more effective for keeping the moisture moving out during and after a shower.

Answer:	Hi, I don't know which one is right, because I don't have devices to check it, but I have this one in one bathroom and another one BFQ 70 in the other bathroom, which is rated everywhere 2.5 Sones. And I can say this one is quieter than BFQ 70 and I can barely here him.

Question:	how do i take old one out
Answer:	Assuming that it's a direct replacement (mine was), there are detailed instructions for installation in the box. Use them in reverse. Typically, you have to snap out the diffuser and unscrew the light bulb. that should expose a couple of screws that hold the inner panel in place. That further exposes the metal box which is screwed into the joist at some point. BEFORE doing anything, make sure that the power is off, preferably at the main circuit box. If this is replacing a different shaped fan and you have not done anything like this - get a professional electrician to do it for you and watch him/her so you will know how to do it if you ever need to in the future.

Question:	how difficult is the install without a preexisting fan
Answer:	There are two metal mounting brackets on the fan that mount to the structure with screws. A 3" flexible duct runs from the fan to a wall or roof cap. Two adjustable 3" metal screw clamps are required to hold the 3" flex duct to the fan & cap. An electrical circuit is required to power the fan & it requires an on-off switch. This requires a moderate amount of skill.

Answer:	Mine stopped working so I emailed their customer service and they had to send me out a new Bluetooth receiver. I received it within a week and it was very easy to install.

Answer:	No, it's ceiling mount only. For your information , noisier than expected...but blue tooth works great

Answer:	110v a/c.The speaker and Bluetooth receiver are one unit and plugs into fan unit. It is switched on and off using your fan switch unless you rewire it to stay on all the time ,but you will need a constant hot wire at fan to do so. Answer:	Since this is both a light and an exhaust fan, it likely won't fit. In addition to the rough opening, you will also need to install ductwork for this unit.
Question:	Is the light and fan on the same switch or can you put them on separate switches
Answer:	I have the light and fan on separate switches.
Question:	Could it be used with a dimmer light switch
Answer:	Should be possible. There are 3 wires ground, light, and fan. Just hook up the dimmer to the light only. If you hook up the dimmer to the fan and light you will have a fan issue.
Question:	Can you change the trim ring and insert an LED bulb
Answer:	I guess that you probably could change out the trim rings on these units IF YOU CAN FIND THEM! I did not change the trim ring, but I did use BR 30 LED small flood bulbs which are readily available at Home Depot, Lowes and probably Amazon in both of my Broan 744 units. They are smaller than PAR 38 floods so there is a space between the trim rings and the bulbs, but I don't mind because they are in toilet areas in the master bathroom. I am an optometrist and I am therefore very picky about color temperature and light spread. I chose this course of action. It is easier to go to the store, buy a few different BR 30 or PAR 38 LED bulbs with different color temperatures, try them at home, see which you prefer, and return the ones which you don't like.

Answer:	The 8661 is an oldie but a 'goodie'! The 8664RP is the suggested replacement. Please note, the 8661 had a round housing. The 8664RP is square. The old unit is not compatible with anything in the line today. It must be completely removed and replaced. Answer:	The outer ring is plastic. I’m sure you can paint it. That said, it’s very noisy, and not as effective as I had hoped. In hindsight, I’d choose another.

Answer:	Grab 2 sides & pull down gently. It'll come down a few inches and you'll be able to see inside, including the bulb. There are 2 spring loaded clips located across from each other. Squeeze each clip together & they'll pull down thru the small opening of the unit. Suggest you do one side first, then the other so you don't drop it. Once you get the hang of it, it's a fairly easy process.

Answer:	A typical light with a single switch use 14/2 romex with ground, meaning three wires. To have two separate switches you will need 14/3 romex to your switch (power in the box or at the light), giving you three wires and a ground.

Answer:	No problem as long as your exhaust vent tubing reaches an outside source.

Answer:	Yes, this would be an effective way to do that. 290 CFM is much, much higher than your standard bathroom fan so you can move a lot of air. I have one of these, although for a different purpose, and it's very quiet for the air volume it moves. Just be sure to have some way of getting air into that room while you use it, through an open window or under a door. It has to pull the new air in from somewhere as it pulls the smokey air out.

Answer:	Bull on some of the answers to this question. It can definitely be used in a kitchen! You should not mount it directly over a stove though! But using it to exhaust the room of smoke as an example is fine. You would have to be cooking with grease all of the time like a restaurant for any build up that would cause a problem. I have used fans like this in kitchens for many years without any problems. Panasonic is going to say it is not a kitchen fan for one because they do not want to get in trouble when you mount it right above your cook top. OK to mount in a kitchen to clear the smoke from the occasion burnt toast or popcorn or bad smell of some cooked foods. NOT OK to mount directly above a stove.

Question:	Anyway to mount to a standard junction box
Answer:	The bracket is larger than the standard U.S. light box and had to find the nearest ceiling joist to mount 2 of the 4 screws into. My fan did come with a ground wire but the wire was yellow instead of the normal green. It was also hidden under the 2 electrical boxes inside the fan housing.

Answer:	I replaced a light, night light, fan combination with this model. The cover does measure 15" in diameter and covered the old site nicely. The model I purchased does not have a heater, nor did the unit I replaced.
