Answer:	When you put it on circulate, the fan comes on for about 10 minutes every 20 minutes or so. The owners manual says it runs about 35% of the time. I used this feature this Fall with the system off (no heat or a/c) just to circulate the air through my Filtrete filters.

a) Can NOT turn on fireplace? Check your pilot fire and thermopile first.

All models are NOT power supply. They do NOT output voltage or current to gas valve. They only process the millivolt voltage generating from thermopile if the pilot fire is on.

Therefore, you can NOT turn on the fireplace fire / gas if the pilot fire is OFF or the thermopile is out of operation (no millivolt voltage generated when heated). This is a safety protection from gas leakage. Please check before return.

Shut off the pilot fire, gas supply, wall switch, and any power if your house is unattended for long time.

b) Do they fit my fireplace? How to tell?

To find a remote control that is compatible with your gas fireplace, the first thing you'll need to find is what type of gas valve your fireplace uses. This information can be found most easily in your fireplace installation & operation manual, the relevant information is usually located under the "Wiring Diagram". If you don't have your fireplace owner's manual, you can also find the model # on the rating plate located somewhere inside / behind your fireplace, and search online with words "model # + manual".

You can also identify the valve type by taking a look at it directly in your fireplace. Our remote control models are all compatible with Millivolt valve, which has TH, TH/TP terminals for connection.

c) Smart Home or RF Remote?

Answer:	No, the battery it comes with is the only battery that will only fit in the fan. The fan works great, but I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able change out the battery once it died. Answer:	These types of devices are close enough for the use they are intended for. The industry that makes bi-metal switches (the lower cost approach) has been around for a long time, if that is what it uses (being the older technology). Bi-metal 120vac switches are usually accurate to plus or minus 1F and usually have a 10 degree spread (on to off/off to on). Digital controls are much more accurate (I didn't tear on apart yet). But, this unit is intended for controlling a heater to keeping a bird bath from freezing or a water pipe that is exposed to low temperatures, etc. This type of control is not suitable for growing a culture in an incubating dish (a job where exactly is important). You also wouldn't' want to use it for keeping your gutters and down spouts from freezing because my experience is that a control to do that job should come on around 35F and off at 25F.

Answer:	there are two zippers. They seem to be secure and move easily. the only part I try to be careful are the top left and right corners where the zipper must bend 90 degrees. I generally close with both zippers in the top left or right corner. I screwed the case into the side of the attic entrance and put spray foam in around it. It keeps it's shape well and seems to do a great job sealing the attic access

Answer:	I didn't see anywhere on the box where it says it was made. It is ,however, a good looking box that holds the amount of ashes it says it does. Personally, I plan on staining it or putting some kind of finish on it.
