Answer:	This floor heat mat needs to be installed on top of a sub-floor material such as wonder board, hardy board,etc. According to the manufacturer, once the mat is placed it should be covered with a "polymer-modified thin set cement -based mortar". The manual further states "NEVER install SunTouch mat under carpet, wood, vinyl, or other non-masonry flooring without embedding it in thin-set, or self leveling mortar".

You can have peace of mind knowing that your floor heating system is in working order by testing the resistance of the heating elements with a Digital Multi-Meter.

Each cable has a UL tag on the power lead with a resistance (Ohm) range printed on it. Set the Multi Meter to 200 Ohms (2k if the Ohm range is over 200) and test the colored power lead wires. Then test the colored wires against the copper ground wire to make sure there is no resistance on the ground.

Answer:	I have this installed in my basement, so the temperature is quite moderate. However, the manual mentions that it is rated to work from 40F - 100F.

Answer:	We don't recommend that it be installed outside, however we have customer's that have successfully installed it outside but make sure that if you do it has some kine of structure around it to protect it from the elements. Yes it can replace the old salt softener.
Question:	how does this work with a Sprinkler system
Answer:	I would have the sprinkler system drawing its feed before the filter since the sprinkler water wouldn't need to be filtered making your filters last longer.
Question:	What is the reduction in water pressure after the installation
Answer:	I haven’t checked pressure drop but it does have a 10 GPM flow rate limit. We have not seen an adverse impact on the showers or other water faucets. We regulate water pressure to the house at 50 psi.

Question:	The instruction manual states that the unit must be installed a minimum of 25 pipe feet away from the water heater, why is this
Answer:	The unit pumps the 'waste' water back into the hot water side of the plumbing system. That, itself, is not reason enough to require that the unit be 25' from the water heater. The water temperature would not matter nor would pressure. I don't have an answer. My unit was so poorly assembled that it never worked properly the entire time that I owned it prior to scrapping it for a different unit entirely. Several of my neighbors have had good luck with the identical unit that was properly manufactured.
Question:	Is it possible to buy the pump and connection for routing the waste water back into the household hot water -- alone? I already have a RO system
Answer:	I dont know if link changed but it now links to a booster pump (#560043) to increase overall system pressure. Which isn't what was asked. Question:	What is the capacity of the watts premier
Answer:	I used this unit for about six months and it never worked correctly. As I was dismantling it to throw it away, I discovered that the wiring was put together in a very sloppy way which was causing the operational issues. This RO system was very poorly built and I don't know the capacity because it was never fully working.
Question:	Why can't this be shipped to California
Answer:	I've owned mine since 2006 and its wonderful. However, in the past few years California began pumping Fluoride into our water (without voting on it) and this unit REMOVES most Fluoride. Therefore California banned this unit (without a vote on it). Note that Fluoride is a by-product from the manufacture of Aluminum! Therefore, what can be done with barrel after barrel of Fluoride? Why dump it into our water supply and increase the price of the water to pay for it (and of course the bribes back to the Legislature)! I'm glad I bought my Zero waste RO system before all this happened!

Question:	Is this suitable for plugging several outdoors Christmas light strings
Answer:	yes, as long as you don't exceed the maximum total wattage of 1875. This also assumes you are NOT plugging it into a smaller gauge extension cord (i.e. 14 or 16 gauge) - then the limits of that smaller cord apply. Also the connection is NOT waterproof so you'd need to protect it from water.

Answer:	I can't think of any reason why that would not be OK, as long as your timer will accept the 3-prong end. Possibly the cord is heavy or stiff enough to require some creative support to prevent gravity from pulling the connections apart (depending on what sort of timer you have and how tight the connections are).
Question:	Can I use this with a space heater? I am considering the 2' 12 gauge option. want to use while sleeping
Answer:	I do not recommend 12 gauge for any heating appliance. I bought 3/10 cord as sole electrical for my cabin. I'm living in it while building so use the 100 ft, 3 outlet 3/10, power cord to support my freezer, fridge, and an electric heater, convection oven, or toaster depending on my need. A 12 have power cord could over heat and cause a fire.

Answer:	The blinking red light on the faucet indicates that it is time to replace the filters. However, it does not monitor the quality of your water, it is just a timer that changes from a Blue light to a Red light approximately every 6 months.

Answer:	If you are referring to the pH of your water, this happens after installing the new membrane. Once the membrane becomes fully saturated, the pH should return to neutral. You may also try flushing the tank as the water contained within may be affecting the levels.

Answer:	I'm not using it for 220 line. It sounds to me like too much current is passing through from your 110 volt output on your generator to the air conditioner. I would get a 220 volt extension like you would use for the dryer. I use this cord to run lighting, refrigerator, and gas furnace motors. But not all at the same time.

There are 3 plugs that light on this extension cord, you might have to plug the other 2 plugs that are open. Answer:	First off I would strongly recommend that you use only a 12 AWG extension for your trailer. If it is a long extension, say 100 feet or more, I would recommend that you go to a 10 AWG. The reason that you need a heavy gauge extension for your RV is that if you are running an air conditioner the start up current is quite high and the voltage drop on a smaller gauge cord will not allow the A/C to even start as well as not allow the A/C to run efficiently. Answer:	Yes, it filters floride, and too many others to mention. I had my water completely tested for everything. There may be a list on the website that sells the 3m filter blatters. Anyhow the complete water test I had done, came out awesome. There are at least 50 to 75 elements that the filter remove. One partical of cigeret smoke is about one micron. The final filter in these unites filter one 12,000 of a micron.
Question:	Does this have to be installed under the sink? How does that filter the WHOLE HOUSE? Can it be installed by my pressure tank
Answer:	The reason it is under the sink is the water hose will not reach to the basement. This unit does not filter the whole house and has one water spigot that leaks every 10 days or so. It usually cannot be installed by your pressure tank since the hose will not be long enough to reach the spigot. That hose is only 4 foot long. My plumber said the reason it leaks is there is a couple O rings that need replaced inside the water spigot.
Question:	What chemicals is the prop 65 referring to
Answer:	The Prop 65 Chemical of concern on this system is Lead. It should also be noted that all of our systems and components are rated "Lead-Free" by the EPA Standards. This means that the wetted surface of the product contacted by consumable water contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight. The reason the California Prop 65 warning is shown on the product is that the state requirement is so much lower than the EPA Standards.

Answer:	Tank circumference = ca. 35 inches Height figure on at least 16. I measured ca. 16. Entire filter unit length = ca. 18 inches and height = about 16 inches. You need extra space for water lines.

Answer:	The kit pictured is for an electric water heater (LFECK 18) The kit I have is for a Gas water heater (LFGCK18 ) It appears as if the only difference is the inclusion of a 1/2" line for the gas service. The two other lines are for the water input and output. The adapters fir the water lines are 3/4" male to 3/4 " compression fittings to connect directly to non-threaded copper pipe.

Answer:	I have not had that happen. If you have had this for a while and have hard water, the valve may need to be cleaned; Cleaning is fairly simple with help from Google. "CLean Watts Valve" That said, if you are getting hot water maybe leave it alone.

Answer:	Grundfos is our supplier, for the hot water sensor valves. This is the same product, if you look at the photo it will show our Watts logo. I hope this is helpful.
Question:	Can the sensor valve be cleaned
Answer:	I can give an answer of a qualified "yes". I bought the Watts system (pump & valve) in January 2017. In November 2019, so just under three years, the valve stopped working; it stayed closed, and would not open, so whether the pump was running or not, we did not have hot water in a short time as expected. I ordered a replacement valve from Amazon and after it was installed, the system was working again. I wasn't able to figure out how to dismantle the valve as mentioned by another reviewer, and tried CLR briefly but decided to just use vinegar. After I immersed the faulty valve in vinegar (5% acetic acid) for six to eight weeks, I was pleasantly surprised that the original valve had apparently come back to life! Now the valve is open when at room temperature, and is closed after running hot water (105° or so) through it for a few seconds. You can test a valve by plugging the outlet for the hot water tap with your finger and blowing into the "hot" end of the valve. Listen for air to exit the "cold" side of the valve when the valve is cool, no air exiting when the valve has been warmed up. I won't know for sure if this original valve will function until my replacement fails and I reinstall the original valve, but I have reason to be optimistic that I won't have to buy a new valve every two to three years. The valve I purchased from Amazon seems to work exactly as well as the original product. I rate it at four stars to acknowledge that if people have not yet purchased a system, they may want to look for a model that is more robust than the Watts product.
Question:	Scalding water on cold side. Is this a symptom of failure
Answer:	Yes, if the water is scalding, that's not supposed to happen. The valve should maintain the hot water at the faucet at about 100°F, which is comfortably warm, not scalding. Of course, when you let the hot water run, it will get hotter from there. It is true that in normal operation, there will be some warm water in the cold water supply, but cooler than 100°F, not scalding. If you get scalding water in the cold water from the faucet, something is wrong. Could be the valve, could be the installation. If it's worked in the past, then probably the valve has failed. If you just installed it, probably the installation is wrong. Here by "scalding," I mean too hot to put your hand into.
