In all loving kindness, if you don't understand that this is a 220-240 volt appliance and not the 110-120 volt appliance, then you wouldn't have the expertise to install this yourself. 110-120 volt circuits are what you normally plug your toaster, computer, TV, hair dryer, etc. into, that is, your standard wall plug. 220-240 volt plugs use heavy duty wires and plugs and are used for clothes dryers and kitchen stove/range/ovens. Usually water heaters and baseboard heaters are "hard-wired", that is, bypassing any plug-in and being permanently wired into the 220-240 circuit. You must also have a 220-240 volt circuit breaker in your electrical service box and a 220-240 volt circuit wired to the room you wish to have your heater installed - unless you are replacing a previous 220-240 volt heater. Putting in that type of circuit, stringing the wire from your service box to the room, would be a major task and expense, and require a permit from the local building authority as well as a certified electrician to do the work.

Answer:	I have my units on 20 amp lines, one on each of two (2) lines. I 'think' they are right around 1500 watts but I have NOT verified this. They have worked very well for me. Their thermostats are not "fine tuned" but are OK. I use a separate thermostat that controls them very close to my settings.

Answer:	I’ve used this unit for years. I’m actually on my fourth (that’s about 13 years) for a 12 x 15 room. Quiet and efficient. I have only used it with the legs. It does get pretty warm. I don’t think I’d use it without some air underneath. That’s just me and Chicago winters. Good luck - be careful.

Question:	is this unit white? or a beige color as shown in the photo
Answer:	More an Almond color, not as dark as a beige might be. Nice unit working well. Worth the extra money to not have unit that gets extremely hot as do standard baseboard units.
Question:	What is the square footage of space that this unit will heat comfortably
Answer:	This is difficult to answer as it depends on the insulation integrity of the space being heated (e.g., how much heat is lost), and the VOLUME of the space (ceiling height). Also, how many of the walls are exterior walls, and how many windows there are and their heat loss. You might find some heat system design calculators on line to help with this.
Question:	The info sheet data tells me the unit is only 2.9 inches wide. That could not be correct. What is the actual width of this heater
Answer:	The Fahrenheat baseboard heaters are uniformly 2.9" (2-7/8") deep (or thick) and 8.4" (8-3/8") high (or tall). The length or width varies with the wattage; I have 1500-watt units that are 70" long. Go to the Lowe's website to get trustworthy length/width measurements.
Question:	Are these quieter than a traditional electric baseboard heater? The frequent tick tick tick of our current heater makes us crazy at night
Answer:	To be completely honest, I never hear this running. It is in my home office which is a closed room and I never even know its on except the room is toasty and warm. This office is in an outside building on my property and it is right now 10 degrees outside and snowing and it is 67 cozy degrees in here. So short answer, no you never hear this running.
